The American writer Lucy Monroe is well known for her fun and enticing brand of romance that really sizzles on the page. Drawing the reader in, she manages to engage them with her evocative style and entertaining characters that really come to life. Selling over seventy different books and counting to various different publishers, she has fast become a household name, with many of her novels becoming bestsellers.

Largely focusing on romance titles, she also brings in some elements of history too, along with the paranormal and supernatural. This has led to her being one of the most varied writers in her field, creating a name for herself that is respected throughout the industry by many. Still writing strong to this very day, she continues to write regularly, putting out work on a consistent basis, with many more stories to come yet.

Early and Personal Life:

Born on the 7th of August in 1967, Lucy Monroe would grow up in America where she was born and raised. Continually holding a passion for books and literature of all kind since the age of four, she would find all of her mother’s books and read them whenever she could. Enjoying mystery and suspense novels, she’d also have a strong interest in romance, which was something she’d focus on in the years to come.

This would be something that she’d carry on into her adult life, despite being busy all the time with her family. Finding spare time whilst in the bath, she’d begin to form most of her ideas there, as the beginnings of her writing career began to take shape. This would soon evolve into the many novels that she has now written today, becoming a bestselling author all across the world.

Getting there wasn’t easy though, as she’d be constantly writing for many years before finally getting herself published. Writing over a million words and thirteen different manuscripts, she’d then get her first deal with Harlequin Presents. Becoming a bestseller both in the United States and in England, she has become a true household name in the field of romance novels. Living with her family she still writes to this day, with plenty more titles planned for release on the horizon.

Writing Career:

Producing a vast quantity of books throughout the years, Lucy Monroe has published over seventy novels and counting. Selling her first one in the month of September 2002, she has come a long way since then, becoming a key figure in the contemporary romance scene, maintaining a strong presence both online and off. Whether she’s setting her novels in far off fantasy worlds or other periods of time, the stories would always retain Monroe’s snappy trademark warmth and wit. Writing inspirational romances under the pen-name of LC Monroe, she’s become a highly versatile author with a lot to say. Winning awards for her work, more and more are discovering her novels ever day, with an ever growing audience worldwide into the foreseeable future.

Initially published in 2006 on the 13th of April, this would first come out through the Kensington publishing outlet. Marking the third and last entry into the Mercenary Trilogy, it would effectively wrap the series up overall, with its final story. Being a stand-alone title the, books are loosely connected in theme, with elements running between them, but it can easily be read by itself.

This is a contemporary romance that’s set in the typical classic mold of the genre, and it definitely knows it having fun along the way. Making the most of its premise and characters, it really takes the story to the next level, with its strong leads and vivid descriptions. The suspense is tense too, allowing the reader to escape into its ever immersive world, making for a highly entertaining and enjoyable ride.

Trusting very few people, Claire Sharp lets few people get close to her, spending most of her time alone invested in her work. That’s when the rugged and charming ex-mercenary Brett Adams turns up in her life following a threat that’s made upon her life. Immediately taking a liking to her, he aims to prove her wrong and that some people should be trusted, despite his no-commitment clause. This leads to him needing to protect her from the threat made upon her, as he goes proving that he isn’t who she thinks he is. Will he be able to keep her safe from danger? Can he effectively prove himself to her? Are they both truly willing and able?

Viking’s Moon

First published through the Indie Published label, this would originally come out on the 22nd of October in 2019. Setting up the sixth title in the ‘Children of the Moon’ series of novels, it would continue on from where the last left off. Following on in much the same vein as before, the book would give readers more of what they’d now come to expect from the franchise.

Set in a world of fantasy, this really makes the most of the genre, and of Monroe’s imagination, which is clearly broad here. The characters are all well established, having been introduced in the previous novels, and developed further here. Getting to the heart of the action, it’s a great story for not just fans of the author, but for anyone interested in the genre as a whole, although it’s best to read the previous books first.

Neilina is a shape-shifting werewolf, whilst Haakon is also a shape-shifter in that he turns into a sabre tooth tiger. Both protect their kingdom, as they are Crechte, and they find it impossible to look at one another without holding their passion deep within. The only issue is that Haakon’s father brutally murdered her entire pack, leaving her angry and distrustful of all Viking cat shifters. Haakon knows that they must unite though, as is their destiny, and he will do whatever it takes to bring the kingdoms together once more. Will he be able to restore order to kingdoms again? Can they overcome the trauma of the past? What will become of the Viking’s moon?
