Luke Chmilenko is a GameLit author best known for writing the “Ascend Online” series of novels. The author was born and brought up in Mississauga, Ontario and during his childhood, he was known for being a huge fan of storytelling and writing.

Over the years, he wrote short small stories and it was not until very much later that he started writing full length works. Since he never thought he could make it as an author, he decided to concentrate on his studies and worked several jobs in IT Security.

It was only when he got encouragement from his wife that he thought he should try writing in the LitRPG genre. His first manuscript was finished within months and would go on to be released for free online.

By the time he finished uploading the last chapter of his debut novel, he had such a large audience that would gobble up his second work that he published on Amazon Kindle. Chmilenko is now a full time author who makes his home in Bulington where he lives with his wife and several felines.

Chmilenko is best known as the author of the epic fantasy series of LitRPG novels, the “Ascend Online” series. He has also collaborated with traditional epic fantasy author Bryce O’Connor to write “Shattered Reigns.”

He has said that he has always been a huge fan of the LitRPG genre ever since he was introduced to it with the “D. Rus’s Play to Live” series. He also fell in love with the “Dragon’s Wrath” series of novels by Brent Roth.

But since the genre was still in its infancy, he eventually ran out of novels to read as he got through much of what was available. Since he loved the genre so much, he decided to fill the gap by becoming an author. Moreover, he found it a great hobby he could use to pass the time.

While he initially started publishing his story as a web serial, he decided to give it his all when the first work became hugely popular. Apart from his writing, he is also a huge gamer who loves MMORPGs. Among his favorites include Final Fantasy, Wildstar, Everquest, and World of Warcraft.

Apart from writing his novels and gaming, he is also a ravenous reader of fantasy and science fiction.

“Ascend Online” by Luke Chmilenko is a thrilling LitRPG novel with some very interesting characters. The lead is Marcus who together with his friend dive into a revolutionary video game, to find themselves in a stagnating society that goes against what they could have ever imagined.

But from the moment they get in, Marcus cannot find his friends even as they find themselves attacked by a massive horde of goblins. Marcus rallies the struggling villagers as he is forced into battle.

Together they manage to beat the goblins but the village is left devastated since their buildings lue in ruins and their supplies have been adulterated or destroyed. To survive, the villagers look to Marcus who soon realizes that he is playing a game unlike any he ever played before.

He finds himself in the middle of adventure as he makes an attempt at defending his new home. It is not long before he finds a way to deal with the marauding goblins making them the least of his problems.

Luke Chmilenko’s novel “Legacy of the Fallen” opens to Marcus and his friends basking in the glory of defeating Graves and his cronies. They now get to enjoy relative peace and calm as they rebuild their home. Aldford is expecting new settlers from Eberia, even though they begin fearing the worst as no new arrivals appear.

They finally decide to set out to look for the settlers since they do ot have the manpower they need to defend their home. Once they reach the frontier, they realize they are not alone. They manage to find a long caravan heading their way and save them from some dangerous bandits.

They barely have time to recover before they need to deal with Eberian politics. Their investigations reveal a sinister plot that threatens to take away their hard won independence and possibly destroy their hometown.

“Glory to the Brave” by Luke Chmilenko tells of Lyrian and his friends who once again find themselves fighting for survival. They are facing off against a dangerous man named Carver and his band of murderous hangers on. Soon after, their war turns into a stalemate as both sides struggle to find a tie breaker.
Meanwhile, they viciously battle to see who can win any ground. But just as Lyrian and friends start making headway which could bring the entire conflict to an end, they realize they have an even greater enemy coming at them. This is an enemy that could upend their entire world.

They find themselves pushed to the brink and it will require every ounce of courage and cunning if they are to survive.
