Lynne Scott-Drennan is a popular author from the United States, who likes to write novels in the romance and contemporary romance genres. She has written numerous books over the course of her writing career, many of which have helped her to win prestigious awards and accolades. Author Lynne has achieved the status of a bestselling author as several of her novels have made it to the bestselling lists of a number of literary magazines in America and in other places as well. She feels very excited when describing herself as the winner of the RITA award from the RWA. In addition to this prestigious literary award, Lynne has also been the winner of the Romantic Times award and the Golden Medallion on one occasion each. Her novels have particularly been very successful in the Best Sensual Regency and the Best Regency categories, enabling her to win nominations and awards in the same categories as well.
Author Lynne Scott says that the first time that she started writing seriously was when her husband made her take a dare. Lynne completed the challenge put forward to her by her husband and later found that she actually enjoyed writing the story. Since then, she has not looked back and has penned numerous novels, short stories, and nonfictions over the years. Lynne Scott has successfully sold all the manuscripts that she has penned so far. She believes that her husband is the best critic for her as he is the first one to read all her stories and give important comments about the changes that she needs to make in the books in order to make them even more exciting, before they are sent for publishing.
Lynne is very much fond of setting her romance stories in the historical periods, especially in the Regency period in England between 1810 and 1820. Over 25 of the novels written by her set in this particular time period. Several other novels of her are said to have taken place in the 18th century Scotland and in the 15th century England. Author Lynne began writing novels in 1981 and the wrote her first few books in her original name. It includes her successful stand alone novels like Summer Sandcastle, The Fugitive Heiress, The Tycoon’s Daughter, Sweet Thunder, etc. Later on in her career, Lynne wrote many book series and trilogies under the pen name of Amanda Scott. Among her most popular book series, there is the Border Trilogy, the Bath series, the Highland series, Dangerous series, the Secret Clan series, the Isles/Templars series, Border Trilogy 2, the Galloway Trilogy, the Scottish Knights Trilogy, the Border Nights series, the Lairds of the Lock series, the Highland Nights series, and many other stand alone books.

A very famous book series written by author Lynne Scott-Drennan is called the Dangerous series. This series consists of a total of 4 books, which were released between the years 1996 and 1999. Each and every novel of this series features central characters. Lynne has mostly shown in all the books that the male and female main leads of the stories come across one another in unexpected situations and then fall in love, thereby, cherishing a passionate romance. The debut book of the Dangerous series is entitled ‘Dangerous Games’. It was released by the Pinnacale publishers in 1996. The primary characters of this novel are mentioned as Nicholas Barrington and Melissa. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Nicholas Barrington meets Melissa for the first time at a club and falls for her immediately. He senses that something is not right with her, especially her body language. After some time, Nicholas becomes sure that Melissa is desperate need of help. It is eventually revealed to him that Melissa’s father has decided to auction her off in a club for his gambling bet. Nicholas decides that he is not going to let her get auctioned off to someone else, and so he bids the highest and makes Melissa his own forever. He provides her with a lot of love and care with the intention of reducing all her sufferings and bringing happiness in her life. However, things begin to take an unexpected turn when a villain starts following Melissa in order to acquire her fortune and destroying her and Nicholas Barrington. As the two feel threatened for the safety of their lives, they choose to gamble everything they have just to make their love prevail.
Another exciting book of this series is known as ‘Dangerous Lady’. This book was published by the Zebra publication in 1999. The lead characters of this book’s story include Lady Letitia, Queen Victoria, Viscount Raventhorpe. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that Lady Letitia visits London for fulfilling her duties of being Queen Victoria’s maid of honor. Everyone present at the occasion ignore her for being a Tory, but Letitia doesn’t seem to care about it much. She goes on to inherit a huge mansion in Mayfair and gets her hands on some secrets related to her inheritance. And when she is unable to decide what she should do with the secrets, Lady Letitia approaches Viscount Raventhorpe and asks for his help. The two indulge in passionate love and forget about the secrets for some time. However, they are not able to get it out of their minds completely. Raventhorpe and Letitia manage to get rid of a scandal that threatened the growing passion between them. Then, they move on to destroy a plot planned by a sinister member of the court that was aimed at overthrowing the rule of the young queen.
