Marc Alan Edelheit is a fantasy and historical fiction author from Pennsylvania. He got his bachelor’s degree in science before he graduated with a masters in Writing and Reading Education and another Masters in Administration. He would then spend several years as a freelance writer and then apply the vast experience he had as a manager in the healthcare industry to get into the writing industry.

Marc published Stiger’s Tiger, his debut novel, in 2015 and has never looked back since. He now has more than sixteen titles in more than five series of novels. Before he became a bestselling author and healthcare executive, he was a much traveled man that lived all over Europe and Asia.

Toward the end of the Cold War, he had made the crossing at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. He loves to consider himself the ultimate fan of history and incorporates a lot of that love into his very realistic novels. He currently makes his home in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Given his strong passion for history, he found much of the inspiration for “Stiger’s Tiger”, his debut from the subject. Every year his family usually takes a family vacation to Florida and this has become quite the adventure. Alan Edelheit does much of the driving and it was while he was driving that he began thinking of writing a story.

With his background in history and being the host of 2centhistory which is a very successful history podcast, he had much of what he needed. During this time, he had been conducting a ton of research on Rome and was reading a lot about it so that he could prepare his show. He was also reading a fantasy novel and thought wouldn’t it be great if he could set his novel around some of the great wars of the Roman era.

It was at this time that it hit him that he could have something great if he could write about Roman legions but add in elements of fantasy. That night he wrote down some notes even though he was not so sure he was ready for such a huge undertaking such as writing a novel. After a few months thinking through several storylines and fleshing out ideas, hefinally published his debut in 2015.

While Marc Edelheit has now become a popular author, he still thinks of writing as a hobby. He still works a day job as a healthcare executive and has a family with three little girls. His wife still thinks he writes full time given how much time he spends working on his novels.
Once he gets home from work, he usually plays with his kids and wife and then when everyone heads out to bed, he takes the time off to write. He usually spends between three to five hours every night writing his stories as he believes in consistency in his writing.
Since writing is his passion he hopes to one day become a full time author and retire from his day job. When he is not writing or working he loves to spend time with family traveling and being outdoorsy on activities such as kayaking and hiking.
He is also a voracious reader for both work and pleasure and will usually read between four to five novels each week. He also loves video games and can often be found playing Armored Warfare, World of Warships, and World of Tanks.

“Stiger’s Tigers” by Marc Alan Edelheit opens to a Roman Empire that has lived through the centuries but now faces a threat of a major rebellion in the south in addition to multiple wars.
Captain Ben Stiger who is a proper bastard of a man, imperial legionary fighter and officer and nobleman from an infamous family is at the center of it. He has been plucked from the crack legion fighting to quell the southern rebellion to become commander of the 85th Imperial Foot, one of the worst in the army.
He has been sent on a suicide mission to transport supplies to the garrison of Vrell a very remote outpost. Along the way, he needs to survive an assassination attempt, rebuild his new regiment, gain the respect of the men and fight off rebels, bandits and the messenger of an evil god. Along with him are several companions that include a Paladin and eleven rangers hoping to find the High Father.

Marc Alan Edelheit’s “The Tiger” continues to follow Captain Ben Stiger who recently captured Castle Vrell and expelled the agent of the evil god. But now Stiger is facing a hostile rebel army while cut off from the empire. He holds the Vrell Valley which is well fortified but the enemy forces he is facing could just overwhelm his small force.
But even though he is badly outnumbered, he has never been one to accept his fate and intends to stop the enemy’s advance. He is going to show them just what his legions can do and alongside him is Eli, one of the eleven that remain from his very first outing.
As if things couldn’t get any worse, Castle Vrell is under threat from an army of dwarves who want it claiming it is Grata’Kor their sacred stomping ground. But what Stiger does not know is that there are greater forces at play. To survive he has to deal with the dwarf army that is determined to fulfil an ancient prophecy and a well supported southern rebel army.
If he fails in only one the empire and the only world he knows could fall into ruin.

In “The Tiger’s Fate” by Marc Alan Edelheit, Stiger is heading north alongside his elf lieutenant. Unluckily for him, the regiment he joins is rife with Empire politics and hence much of it is in terrible disorder.
Upon arrival Stiger is assigned to scout an outpost that had unfortunately been cut off from the main army. He takes this as an opportunity to remove his own men from the disgraceful main camp and marches them out. Luckily for Stiger, one other cavalry unit is interested in going along for the march and it just happens to be the one that stayed out of the fray for the longest time.
But then a Paladin joins the march sent by the gods to go cause them trouble. On their very first day’s march he finds a magical sword and learns of the tale of the missing 13th legion that had never been seen for three centuries. What follows is an excellent adventure of confrontation with eleven and dwarf armies.

Is there a continuation of the Karas Saga? Like how he got off Tannis? It feels like the story is not over. Is it not the explanaation on how Stiger is where he is?

Hi Lisa – as of this writing there is only the three in the series. I had a look at his Facebook page and didn’t see any mention of an upcoming novel.
