Spider- Man: Election Day

Spider- Man: Election Day, is a collection of stories where questions are answered, and the world of Spiderman is shaken to its core. Who could be the causing all this menace? Who could be the suspect behind the spider tracer killings? Moreover, finally who is going to the new mayor of New York City?

The days of mayoral elections in New York are close, and the only thing that could weigh it down on either side is the takedown of the friendly Spider-man or the super villain.

There is a serial killer on the loose, and the killer has been placing patented spider tracers on the victim’s corpses. While the police are on his trail, Spiderman is terribly wounded, and a swift escape is what the Spidey needs. The arrival of goblin menace results into the arrest of Spiderman, but fortunately, he has a lawyer.

The Spidey villain thinks that if can manage to take down the Barrack Obama, the president-elect during the inaugural process; he can become the 44th president of the United States. However, with heroes like Spiderman and the Knight Rider Joe Biden, the democracy can still be saved.

On the other hand, Spiderman and Captain America joins forces so as to fight a new group of robots that resembles Abe Lincoln and his important cabinet members.

All these three stories are magnificent and well articulated. Published in 2008, Election Day marks the new era of Jr. “Big” period.

Civil War Wolverine

In this comic, we see Wolverine going on a manhunt to find Nitro, the person responsible for the Stamford mass killings which were the major contributor of the Civil War. Wolverine is upset because everyone seems to be concerned with the registration Act and not involved with the person responsible for the high number of deaths in Connecticut, and this makes Wolverine take matters into his hands.

Wolverine manages to fight the villain and some couple of resisting Atlantians and finally learns the truth behind the whole tragedy, in that some people would rather see people die to make money- in that it is good for business anyway.

The last issue of Wolverine: Civil War focuses on what happened to Logan soul after he died and regenerated. This is quite sad because he sees all those he has lost and describes that emotional pain is far much worse than physical pain.

In general, there is a good character development for every character in this comic book, but more emphasis is put on Logan, also there plot flows well with a real dialogue.

Arrow Volume 1

This comic book consists of a series of short stories but which are based on the character of the Television series Arrow. It all begins before the events and slowly develops to the events that are seen in the episodes of the tv show. Also as each of the comic chapter progresses you get an introduced to a new character. However the comic mostly talks about Oliver Queen checking of criminals who he apparently claims that have ‘failed the city.’ Oliver has a small notebook that his father left him before he shot himself in the head that comprises of the people who have failed the starting city. Flashbacks are most used in this comic, some told in John Diggle’s, Moira Queens and Oliver Queen point of view. s

If you are a great fan of the TV series, then this comic book would be an ideal match. The art is good, especially the character development. Oliver Queen plays his role very well, other characters that are worth noting for this book include; Death Stroke shot in the eye by the green arrow, Malcolm Merlyn once the leader of the league of assassins whose hand was chopped off by Oliver., Sarah, Thea Queen, Oliver’s step sister.

The comic book is more of cut scenes from the original TV series; there is also some back stories in the book that aren’t available in the television episodes.

Stephen King’s N

Deep down in the Acherman’s Fields located in the local town of Maine, there is something evil and mysterious. There is a Stonehenge feature like- with seven stones and a scary eye at the center of this Stonehenge. It is believed that whatever dwells in that remote and windswept setting may have been the cause of the suicide of one young man. This story is based on a short story from the Stephen King Collection titled, JUST AFTER SUNSET. This story follows the story of people who come to research more on the stones and to take the job of counting them, thus resulting to an obsession that bleeds to their daily lives like some contagious OCD.

So far this is the scariest and creepiest novel ever written by Marc Guggenheim. The art style is just amazing, and the way the story is told from one person to another gives chills. The author makes this graphic novel come to love with some incredible illustrations, and an easy to follow dialogue that flows smoothly. If you are a casual reader, then this is the best graphic novel to add to your bookshelves.
