Investigator Eva Thompson fits the description of each of the victims thus far and volunteers to move into the vacant condo to draw this suspect out from within. However until they know for sure what is behind the peeping, nobody feels safe sending her in as a decoy by herself.

Joshua Simmons is Eva’s ex and the one guy that she cannot quite escape. While the county medical examiner, he frequently consults with HEARTS and cases. And uses this connection to remain close to the woman that he still hasn’t gotten over. When she needs a fake husband to work with her as a decoy, Josh agrees but on one condition: that she’s not going to do anything to put herself in the way of harm.

“The Restarting Point” is the first novel in the “Chammont Point” series and was released in the year 2021. Jade Kelly, mom of two and marketing executive, can now add cancer survivor to her list of successes. However even though her life looks good on paper, four months after her treatment, she realizes that she barely knows her college age kids and she and her husband Nick are barely more than housemates.

Jade is determined to begin again, so she schedules a family vacation to a lakefront cabin. When her children bail and Nick stays home so he can handle a last minute work crisis, she goes to Chammont Point by herself, determined to dust herself off and come up with what she’ll do with the rest of her life.

As she’s away, the life she believed she had starts unraveling. Lies, secrets, and old wounds drive her into new relationships and new adventures. With the help of some new found friends and family, she learns that beginning again means finding a whole new restarting point.

This is an enjoyable read with some likable characters, particularly Darby, who is sure to get you laughing at certain times. It is a beautiful story of broken hearts, friendship, and beginning again.

“The Selling Point” is the second novel in the “Chammont Point” series and was released in the year 2021. Darby Zamora’s has always gotten by with doing work which suits her unique way of life, however success has not quite come easy to her. Darby, who is a former bridal seamstress, gave up on making custom gowns many years ago.    I just finished the Without Series. These books would make a wonderful movie!!!
