However, there is one problem Marina’s father, Aleksander Luganov, the former head of the Russian Federal Security Service and the current prime minister.

Aleksandr Ivanovich Luganov was the prime minister of Russia in 1999 when many apartment bombs were exploding across Moscow. With a sick president, Luganov had to assume the role and nominate Oleg Kraskin as his senior assistant. With a wife and a young son, Ryker gets into the secret service, hoping to find his niche soon. While he rises in ranks and protects the political players, Kraskin is back in Russia watching President Luganov as he starts a political game looking forward to reclaiming some of the old soviet territories and keeping an eye on Ukraine.

A devastating crime in Washington forces Marcus Ryker to think twice about his future as he pushes him into a crisis of faith. Marcus Ryker has much to offer, but it’s drifting around a mental fog. After coming up with a plan to invade NATO alliances and ensure the Americans stay in the dark, Kraskin can no longer stand and watch Luganov misuse his political powers.

With the Russians prepared to start their military attacks with nuclear weapons, it’s up to Kraskin to make a decision. In the meantime, Marcus Ryker is offered a job that sees him use some of his past experiences though he is no longer an employee of the American Government.

While his predecessors may not have been ready to push the red button, Rosenberg creates his Czar as happy to do whatever it takes, whether it’s nuclear obliteration or not. There is much more than meets the eye with this man who tries to toss his sentiments with the that his father-in-law is turning into a dictator as Stalin. Doing what he thinks to be just might come at a cost though he could be ready to lose everything, even his family, to save his country Russia.

The Persian Gamble is the second in the Marcus Ryker series. It’s a thriller story that tracks a terrifying nuclear alliance among three world powers, Iran, Russia, and North Korea, and the fatal mission that former U.S. Secret Service Agent Marcus Ryker should risk to disrupt their strategy.

Shot out of the air in enemy territory in the center of the greatest international crisis since the end of the Cold War, former U.S. Secret Service agent Marcus finds himself an impossible task. He does not only have to elude detection and capture by Russian special forces, but he must also convince his government to grant safe harbor to the man responsible for the worldwide mayhem. The man is the Russian double agent and assassin Oleg Kraskin.

While negotiating with his contacts in the white house, Marcus finds that the unstable North Korean is planning on using the international chaos as a front to sell nuclear weapons to Iran. With the entire world’s fate at stake, Marcus has to make a deal with the Us government. He will have to go back to work as an international operative and hunt down the WMDs before they get into the hands of those with the means to use them.

Marcus and Oleg once worked together to avert a world war, but can they find a way to prevent the world from being destroyed this time? As Ryker fights to help out in all the ways he can, he remembers his close Christian ties and struggles with the increasing violence that will soon occur to end all the political instability.

It would appear that the Russians have made a secret military alliance with the North Koreans that might help both sides in any event of aggression from any other part of the world.

As he tries justifying it, Ryker gets sent to Japan for another mission. The mission is to scout out the North Korean warheads transported to their Iranian allies. As bodies pile up everywhere, Ryker witnesses’ friends and enemies die which tests his beliefs compelling him to wonder about his role in the whole situation.
