The debut novel of this highly successful series is entitled ‘Killing Trail’. It was released by the Crooked Lane publication in the year 2015. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that a young girl is discovered dead near the mountains just outside of the Timber Creek. As the whole of the small town in Colorado gets rocked by this shocking event, life long resident Officer named Mattie Cobb is asked to investigate the case. She has a partner in the form of a K9 police dog named Robo. Also, Mattie Cobb takes help from a local veterinarian named Cole Walker. This single father of child and the K-9 police team start tracking down the killer before the life of another innocent victim is wasted. However, the more Cobb investigates the murder case, the more she gets close to the reality that her hometown has many secrets. Also, the key to all the secrets and the case lies with the daughter of Cole Walker. It seems that she is aware of a lot more than what she says. Later, it is learned that the murder of the girl was just the beginning of a terrible thing. Mattie Cobb needs to be careful as she proceeds further or else she and Robo might end up becoming the next targets of the killer. The book is full of suspense and appears to be a gripping story that keeps the readers engaged till the very last page.

The next installment of the series is called ‘Stalking Ground’. This book was also published by the Crooked Lane publishers in 2016. At the beginning of the story of this book, it is depicted that the sweetheart of Deputy Ken Brody goes missing near Timber Creek and Mattie Cobb is once again called for tracking down the missing person along with her intelligent partner, Robo. The country is experiencing a thick snow storm as it is October’s winter season. Cobb is late to locate Ken’s sweetheart and the dead body is recovered after the storm gets broken, causing the snow to come down hard. Ken Brody travels down to bring the team of forensics and Cole Walker helps in gathering the supplies to get through the storm. Cobb & Robo are alone as they guard the gravesite. As the investigation progresses further, Robo, Cole, Brody, and Cobb find themselves at the center of the stalking ground of the killer. There doesn’t seem to be a way out unless they hunt down the predator first. This book too appears to be an engrossing read and is filled with excitement, heart, and tension. The critics praise this excellent book by saying that it will make the readers intrigued till the very end.

I am enjoying listening to this series through audible. WHile commuting I get to be in a “Timber Creek bubble” inside my car. And no- it does not distract me from my driving. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the books.

I find the first book of Hanging Falls that I just read both highly creative & appealing to me as a 81 yr old senior reader. I am retired from school counseling with a specialty in art therapy. I encourage you to explore including the use of art therapy in one of your books. I would like to dialogue with you about that!

    Sincerely, Karen
    A mystery fan

I just finished all of your books in order and LOVED them! I can’t wait to read the next one…and hope you are going to release it this year? A friend told me about this series (I’m an avid reader and was complaining my favorite authors were not writing fast enough) and I immediately went to the library and had them print out a list in the order they were published. Loved, loved all 7 of the books! Great writing and really interesting subjects, and yes, I love dogs and any books using them in the stories.

I love your books! I happened upon the first one on Audible and I am now on Striking Range. I have listened through the whole series and I am not anxious to finish this last book. I will greatly miss the characters.
I appreciate so much the fact that you have written this series without bloody gore, lurid sex scenes or vulgar language. Your writing twists an interesting tale without having to degrade the story with these things.
I’m so happy to have found your writing and look forward to more.
