Martin Wilsey is a published author of fictional novels.

Martin describes himself as being many things. On top of being a writer, he also identifies as a father, a friend, a story teller, a photographer, a hunter and marksman, an engineer, carnivore, someone that frightens children, a fool, a philosopher, a mad man and a cook.

He is married to his wife, Brenda. Together they reside in the state of Virginia. It was there that he worked for several years for a think tank funded by the government as a research scientist.

Wilsey is primarily known for being the author of the Solstice 31 Saga. It is a best selling series. Still Falling, the first book in the series, came out on March 31, 2015. After many words published and under three years after, he decided that he was going to retire from being a research scientist and now is a science fiction writer on a full time basis.

Wilsey continues to use his whiteboard skills and his research to put into his writing and keep the novels going. He’s an author that likes to have authentic science as part of his science fiction stories. He is the CEO and the founder of Tannhauser Press. The press may be small, but it’s intended for writers and created by writers to be a collaborative environment.

Martin also likes to blog and does so on a prolific level. There he likes to share what he has found out so far as part of his journey of being an independently published author. He also comes up with a web comic with a new one featured weekly on his blog, sharing his views and his inspiration when it comes to life. He has also made efforts to expand into podcasting and audio narration.

The author is constantly busy with projects and often feels that he has more to do than he actually has time. He welcomes emails from readers to distract him from this fact. He continues to reside in Virginia with Brenda and their two cats, Bailey and Brandy.

Martin Wilsey is the creator and the author of the Solstice 31 Saga series. This science fiction series started off with the publication of Still Falling, the debut novel, in 2015. This was followed by the second novel, The Broken Cage. The third novel in the series is Blood of the Scarecrow. There are several other books and short stories related to the Saga that are also out.

Still Falling is the first novel in the series. This is where readers meet the main character of Barcus for the first time.

Barcus lives to work and works to live, and he’s always looking to lock down a handsome paycheck. The Ventura enters orbit along with its crew to take a scheduled survey of a planet. When they do so, the ship accidentally sets off an automated defense system that is in place that seems designed to protect the planet.

The Ventura ends up being destroyed in the resulting attack. There are no survivors except for Barcus, who is the only one to make it through the long fall all the way down to the surface of this remote planet. Barcus does his best to survive further, trying to keep alive and also hold on to his sanity. It’s hard to be the only one that made it, and he wants to know why it was that everyone that he was familiar with and had a relationship with on the Ventura died– or as he sees it, murdered.

Barcus is trying to deal with a wide range of emotions from anger to despair. But he’s starting to find out that for every answer that he’s able to track down, it appears that more questions come up. Barcus gets some help from Em, the Emergency Module, who is the most helpful tool that he has on his side.

The AI system is packed into an all terrain vehicle that has been designed to specifically help Barcus survive. But he starts to find out that the local population is in the middle of a planet wide genocide. Barcus doesn’t know what he is going to do, but he knows that he can’t just stand by while an increasing amount of people die.

Barcus is all on his own on this planet, and it’s starting to become extremely unclear whether he’ll ever be able to get back home again. Neither does he know whether anyone was responsible for the ship going down or if it was just the unfortunate response of the system automated to take on threats. He’s also unable to control his rage and doesn’t know what effect it will have.

Join Barcus on the adventure of a lifetime, even if it’s one that he didn’t sign up for. Can he find himself and purpose again here? Or will he be stranded forever in the last place and planet that he ever wanted to be? Read this science fiction book to find out!

The Broken Cage is the second fictional novel in the sci-fi Solstice 31 Saga, written by Martin Wilsey. If you were intrigued by the events of the first book, then be sure to check out this exciting sequel!

When Ventura, a survey ship made to travel through deep space, entered the orbit of a strange planet, it found itself destroyed. When the attack went down, Commander James Worthington was flying escort along with his crew. It was a horrible thing to go through.

Worthington quickly found out that the attack took a toll on his ship as well. The ship retained heavy damage, and his crew was wiped out, with nearly half of them dead. Worthington quickly does what he can to find refuge on this planet’s moon’s dark side.

There are threats coming from everywhere and now Commander James has to do his best just to simply survive. One spot of good news is that he is able to find Barcus, an old friend. Together they work towards the new goal of being able to find the survivors and bring them all to one place so that they can be a team. That is, if they have enough time to do so.

Can Barcus and the Commander succeed even with the clock ticking? Read the second book in the saga to find out!
