Mary B. Morrison is an American author also known by the name of Honey B. She is a New York Times, Essence, and Wall Street Journal best-selling author. She was born in Aurora, Illinois and grew up in New Orleans as the middle child of seven children. She graduated from McDonough #35 High School in her home city, later attending and graduating Berkeley Community College in California.

Mary B. Morrison is the author of several books and is one of several up and coming artists. She also has multiple book to film deals in the works. The film rights to her Soulmates Dissipate series have been optioned by filmmaker Leslie Small and Jeff Clanaghan of Codeblack Entertainment. The series has seven novels and the first book Soulmates Dissipate was being developed as a feature film. She is the Executive Producer on the film deal and was in the same title in addition to being playwright for Single Husbands, her stage play that was based on the similarly titled book under pen name Honey B.

Her pen name, Mary B. Morrison, is her pen name when she is writing novels for Kensington Publishing Corporation and she writes for Grand Central Publishing using the pen name Honey B. She self-published the first novel of Soulmates Dissipate, coming out of retirement in 2000 to do so. She also sponsored an anthology titled Diverse Stories, featuring thirty-three works from the same number of students in the sixth grade.

She is a happily single mother and enjoys writing novels that have empowered female characters and address social and sexual issues. She says that women rule and there is a powerful woman behind every great man, but that does not stay true for every successful woman. Morrison states that many women are single because men want to be wearing the pants– even ‘if they didn’t buy them’.

She runs a non-profit organization called Lift Every Voice and Write. Morrison established the non-profit to aid an increase in literacy among students as well as to support and encourage students that might want to pursue writing as a career. Her son is named Jesse Byrd, Jr. and he graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara in 2010. He was a producer on the film deal and has even completed his own first novel. Morrison is the author of the Honey Diaries series, which features four books and the first book Sweeter Than Honey. She has also written the If I Can’t Have You series, a trilogy. She is the author of the Crystal series and has written a number of standalone novels including The Art of Finding Your Soul Mate: Five Key Elements, He’s Just a Friend, and The Eternal Engagement.

An omnibus has been released in 2011 called the Mary B. Morrison Bundle. Her poetry collections include Kiss Me and Justice Just Us Just Me, both of which came out in 1999. Her non-fiction novel is titled Who’s Making Love and came out in 2001.

Her most popular series is the Soulmate Dissipate series. The first book was a hit when it came out in this self-published sexy story that ended up becoming a bestseller. Jada Diamond Tanner is the main character in this book, and this fashion photographer has never had any problems getting the attention of attractive men. However, no one touches her heart like Wellington Jones has. A successful and together financial advisor, Wellington has seemed like the soulmate that Jada has always wanted and waited for.

From the very first time that they came together and embraced, Jada has been intrigued by this man. While the passion that they share is exhilarating, deciding to go forward with loving Wellington comes with its fair share of obstacles. This includes another beautiful woman who is desperate for his attention and his socialite, well to do mother, who thinks that Jada is hardly a fit for their elite social circle.

Despite all of this, Wellington and Jada feel meant to be. But unlike Wellington, Jada is faced with difficult choices and along the way comes to learn some tough lessons about commitment and trust– especially when it comes to the person you’re in a relationship with. But she finds the strength within herself to celebrate each and every day, whether it is with the man that she loves or on her own.

The second book in this exciting series is called Never Again Once More. The eagerly-anticipated book is the love story between Jada Tanner and Wellington Jones. Their romance goes on, but will they be able to surmount the new conflicts that arise out of decisions that were made in the past?

   I want to start off by saying, I love you as an author and all of your books. You relate to so many women in your books who’s been sexually assaulted or belittled because of their gender. I thank you. I just read Careful What Uou Click For, and I Do Love You Still, and I was a little upset at the end of each. I would love for a sequel.
