The second book is titled The Hunted and it was made available to readers in 2015. If you are looking for a series that involves a fast paced story and is full of adventure, check out this series for yourself!

The Living is the first book in the Living series by this author. In this debut of the series, readers get the chance to meet the main character of Shy, a young man, for the first time.

Meanwhile Shy has now had the opportunity to take a job during the summer and jumps at the chance. Since he wanted to make some extra cash, it seemed like the right move. Shy would be able to get some work experience and the money that he would make would enable him to help his family pay the bills. At the end of the day, he just wants to help out.

Shy has signed up to work on a cruise liner that is the ultimate in luxury. He knows that it is only spending a few months’ time and then he’ll have the cash from the check and be done with it. The amount of money that you are able to rake in from getting the high end tips on these things is enough motivation for Shy to pursue it as it will be the best way to help take care of his family.

Shy thinks that there might be some extra perks to this whole thing as well. It can’t be that bad if there are going to be customers and clients lounging around, some of them getting some sun in their bikinis. He will also get free room and board and the food that he eats will be paid for. All he has to do is get the job done and be considerate of the passengers, as every cruise comes with a different set.

Shy seems to have landed himself in a pretty good situation. Once he is on board, he also finds out that there’s a cute girl on board that has pretty much everything going for her. She is rich and doesn’t have to worry about money. She is also fairly objectively good looking and loves that she has platinum blonde hair. Being rich and gorgeous just never gets old.

This seems like the dream job for Shy as he gets to be around gorgeous people that have nothing to worry about. He himself is getting farther in his quest to generate enough money to help his sister and his mother out for some time to come. Anything that gets them further ahead is a good thing. Shy really cares about his family and is thrilled that the job is working out so well.

The last thing that he ever saw coming was the big earthquake. He is only out to sea for a couple of weeks when a huge quake strikes California. It is a record breaking earthquake and the arrival of this huge quake bigger than any that came before is about to change the lives of everyone that lives there as well as Shy, stuck out at sea.

As it turns out, the quake is about to be the leading disaster followed by many more. In a fight for survival among the people that are left, who will make it out? Will the rich girl and Shy team up in order to make it out together, or will he only be dragged down by a spoiled princess that has never had to do anything so tough in her life? You’ll have to find out by checking out the first story in this series!

The Hunted is the second novel in the fictional Living series by Matt de la Peña. The first installment of this series saw young man Shy out working on a cruise at sea. He was serving aboard a luxury cruise when the massive quake first struck California and shattered countless lives.

The huge luxury liner for Paradise Cruise was supposed to be his home for the next few weeks. The large liner was one of the largest in the world and was expensive in every single way. The Titanic also cost a lot of money to make, and just like this boat, they are both at the bottom of an ocean.

This cruise ship went down hard and took the majority of its passengers with it. The massive tragedy almost took down Shy and Addie with it, but they both managed to survive. He and the rich daughter of a businessman were both able to make it onto a dinghy, a fact that clearly saved both of their lives.

Even though they both made it, the second that they found other survivors from the event, Addie disappeared to nowhere. The strange thing about it is that the minute that she was gone, he found himself missing her.

Now he has teamed up with coworker Carmen to try and navigate their way back home. They have had a run of bad luck so far, but there’s no reason why Shy can’t turn this thing around. Addie confided a secret in him that some people would kill to know about.

Addie might just have a piece of leverage that would be able to turn everything upside down. The only problem is that she’s gone. Maybe she’s on her way to California. Now his knowledge has made him a target. Can he make it out alive? Read this book to find out!
