The McKaslin Clan series is a wonderful series of Christina fiction, romance, Christian romance, and contemporary novels. It is written by a reputed American novelist named Jillian Hart. The series is actually divided into 5 different parts and there are altogether 25 books in this series. The original series is called as The McKaslin Clan: Series 1. It is comprised of a total of 5 books, which were released between the years 2002 and 2004. This series’ books take place originally in Manhattan, Montana, and feature the lead characters in the form of four sisters named Karen, Kendra, Kirby, and Kristin. After the successful run of this series, author Jillian wrote a prequel series known as The McKaslin Clan Historical.

This too became very successful and paved the way for other 3 popular series. Author Jillian also penned a different series with the same setting. It is called The McKaslin Brothers. The books of the original series usually depict romance stories. Each book revolves around the story of one of the 4 sisters. They meet their love interest after the other in the beautiful Manhattan city and go on to explore their love lives. At some point in their stories, the McKaslin sisters come across difficulties, but they manage to overcome them and move ahead in life to cherish their love. Author Jillian seems to have done a great job in creating the lovely characters of this romance series. Each one of them looks very much interesting to read about.

Even the supporting characters appear to play important roles in taking the stories further up to the climaxes. The interesting settings, excellent characterizations, and unique storylines helped the books of this series to reach out to a large number of readers from across the world and become immensely successful. Many readers, critics, fellow authors, and literary magazines appreciated the books very much and praised the efforts of author Jillian. She gained a lot of motivation from the successes and the subsequent praises, which enabled her to keep writing exciting romance stories as parts of different book series. Author Jillian Hart is regarded as a noteworthy author of romance novels all over America as well as abroad. She is particularly famous for writing the McKaslin books, for which she has been nominated for several prestigious awards and given honorary mentions. Jillian was born and brought up on her homestead of her family in the Washington state. While growing up, she used to get involved in raising cattle, riding horses, and scribbling stories in her free time. After finishing with her school education, Jillian enrolled herself at the Whitman College and earned a degree in English literature. The debut book of The McKaslin Clan series written by author Jillian Hart is entitled ‘His Hometown Girl’. It was released in the year 2002 by the Steeple Hill publishers. The chief characters mentioned in the book by Jillian include Karen McKaslin and Zachary Drake. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Zachary Drake is a mechanic from a small town. He knew Karen McKaslin from a long time, but did not have any illusions about his friendship with her. Zachary Drake always sees Karen McKaslin as a wholesome and winsome lady. He had feelings for her in his heart, but never let her know about it, even after she called off her wedding with a local pastor.

Zachary Drake chose to provide a sympathetic ear and a helping hand to a close friend in need. On the other hand, Karen McKaslin feels relieved to have managed to narrowly escape the loveless marriage. She does not stop counting the blessings of hers. She thinks that now she has the chance of turning herself into a lady that is worthy of getting loved for eternity. But, when she begins to see Zachary Drake as her Mr. Right, she feels she had not dreamed of finding her perfect man in someone like Zachary. And after learning from him how much he loved her, Karen wishes she had seen all those things in Zachary Drake’s eyes what he was not able to say to her through his mouth.

Another very interesting book of this series is called ‘The Sweetest Gift’. It was also published by Steeple Hill publication in 2004. Jillian Hart has described the main characters in this novel as Kiry McKasli and Sam Gardner. At the beginning of the story of the book, Sam Gardner is introduced as the new pilot, while Kirby McKaslin is shown as working as a nurse. Sam comes to live in the neighborhood of Kirby and when he pops through her shrubbery for the first time she finds him obnoxious and brazen. And when she learns that Sam Gardner has volunteered to pilot the early morning flight of medical emergency, she becomes surprised.

After this, Sam started giving a helping hand to her in her daily chores, including fixing the fence, cooking dinner, and making cocoa for her to get sound sleep. A moment comes when Sam takes Kirby McKaslin’s hands in his own hands and this makes her feel that she is the right man for her. Kirby starts to fall for him. But, Sam doesn’t seem to have any such feelings for her. He takes his hands away from her the moment he realizes Kirby has developed feelings for him. Sam has not yet overcome from a difficult experience in the past, and so, he does not let Kirby come close to his heart. He fears that it might get broken again. Kirby remembers how Sam showed that a man can possess kindness and faith. So, she decides to make him believe that love has not ended for him. Kirby vows to help Sam forget his past and start working towards a better future with her.
