Megan Hart is widely and fondly known for her captivating romance novels that have thrilled many of her readers. She was born on March 27th. Not much is known about the year of her birth or her native town like many of the great authors. When she was in the third grade, while most of her age mates were out playing Megan was deeply falling in love with one of her favorite books, Homecoming, written by Ray Bradbury. Back then, things were not so much like they are today; she could not photocopy the book but instead had to spend her time writing every single word in the book on her notebook to further read the book in her own time. However, her creative mind could not allow her to plagiarize the book for every single word. She found it only fair to create her own story with her own words by changing some of the texts in the book. That marked the beginning of her journey as a renowned author. But at the time it had never occurred to her that she could eventually become an author. That happened later on when she was age 12 while reading The Stand a Stephen King’s book. It was then that it all trickled down to her that writing books could become a career through which she could earn a living, and at that very moment she knew what she wanted to do with her life. Become an author.
Before she began writing full novel romance stories, she kicked off her career by writing science fiction and fantasy stories that were normally short. But with time she gained more courage and confidence and could eventually turn out to be a novel author. However, it was not all bliss in her writing career as she mainly focused on her studies in Journalism in Indiana University and graduated later on. In 1997, she became the proud mother of her daughter. Until then, she had put a pause on her dream in becoming an author, which would soon after the birth of daughter become vitalized. It was in the next year that Megan officially began professional writing attending a writing conference for the first time. In the same year she managed to get her manuscript requested in full. Four years later her first ever novel was published and since then it has been a ride on the band wagon.
Since Megan published her first novel, she has gone on to get more inspiration in the genre of romantic fictions, publishing novels across the wide range of different romantic fictions. Her diverse talents in writing have also seen her express her gifts by writing horror novels and other non-fictional novels. It is not just her romantic fictions that have brought acclaim to her but her diverse talents in writing have been awarded as the first runners up in the reader’s choice contest, in her short fiction More Than Dreams. Her short stories have not only landed her on award podium but also they have found their way in different large publications. She has written trilogies and series novels which she hopes will find themselves in the big screen in the form of mini-series which like most fictional authors hopes she will star in them.
In one of her favorite novels, which draws her emotional connection to it and brings back memories that are not too much fond but nonetheless sentimental is Precious and Fragile Things. This is one of the novels in which she clearly illustrates herself to her audiences who have keenly followed her work that she is more than just a romantic author. The novel, published much later than most of her previous works of romantic fictions perfectly sets up the stage for the showcase of her multi talented abilities. The novel clearly has a personal place in her heart, and every author has that one piece of work that means much more to them than just landing in book shelves globally. Her reason for this sentimental attachment to the novels may lie in the fact that she scripted it much before she had a following and before most of her work was well known to the world. Because of its difference from other of her novels it did not get to be published during its first scripting. However, years later and after its revision it managed to land on book shelves. The novel illuminates the character of Gilly Soloman a mother who is selflessly sucked in taking care of her children and everyone else that she feels that her life is not hers anymore. Pressed down by the daily chores and the constant crying and bickering of her children she is broken. However, things change when they are carjacked by a stranger, and without concern of the consequences she begs for him to set her children free. Trapped in a cabin with the stranger Gilly allows her mind to rest for a change, but with time and with no rescue forth coming she finds herself drawn to the mistakes of the stranger and now views him as her savior rather than captor. The book may be difficult to read for audiences accustomed to her romantic fictions but it is a captivating book leading to the road of self discovery.
Her series books have also received much acclaim and been fan favorites. Tempted comes top of the list, as the first of the trilogy, followed by Everything Changes and finally Naked. The series novel involves a married woman, Anne who has everything that she had ever desired in life; her husband James, their perfect lives and a lake house. Things changed, when a friend of James, Alex, visits and she begins to desire him, something that her husband is not concerned about. She never meant for anything serious to come from it. She knew she loved James and even though she found another with a sex appeal than her husband, she knew she still wanted to be with him. The series has definitely been a fan favorite and the other two books are definitely worth reading.
Megan has attracted audiences from all over and her novels have been a hit since the first one was published. She will still be around writing and her fans can expect more thrilling romantic fictions and much more from Megan Hart.
