“Misadventures” series is a set of novels written or co written by several authors. They are a project by Meredith Wild, a New York Times bestselling author and founder of Waterhouse publishing house. The novels were based on the novels that Wild read and loved over the years. The inspiration for the series came to Wild when she undertook a casual co-writing project alongside one of her many author friends. They were thinking of high steam low pressure romance which they could write in between their more plot heavy novels projects. According to Wild, many authors put in a lot of work on their stories and the process can be stressful and intense. As such, she wanted something different in the “Misadventures” series which is driven by a philosophy of keeping it fun. The Misadventures series are thus spicy standalone romance novels written in a casual way by the best authors in the romance genre. The stores are refreshing scandalous and of course very sexy works that make for a perfect bedside read.

Waterhouse published “Misadventures of a Rookie,” the debut novel of the “Misadventures” series in 2017. The debut novel was written by Tony Aleo with more novels set to follow. Among some of the big names involved in writing the novels include Shayla Black the New York Times bestselling author. She is an author best known for the “Wicked Lovers” series of novels that has more than fifty novels to her name. Shayla Black published “Misadventures of a Backup Bride” that was first published in 2017 to become the second novel in the series. Black has expressed confidence that the publishing house will continue producing high quality novels just as they have been doing over the years. Other big name authors in the series include Kendall Ryan the New York Times bestselling author and Lauren Rowe the SA Today bestselling author who wrote “Misadventures of a Superhero.” Meredith Wild also published several titles she has co written with other authors. These titles include “Misadventures of a First Daughter” written with Mia Michelle, “Misadventures of a City Girl” Co written with Chelle Bliss the USA Today bestselling author and “Misadventures of a Good Wife” co written with Helen Hardt the New York Times bestselling author.
