Misty Vixen is the pseudonym of an unknown writer who is best known for her peculiar romance fiction novels.
She loves writing novels that usually feature detailed sex between a lot of women and one man, adventure, and action, in addition to inhuman women who can be aliens, monsters, or others.
For the most part, she usually writes about characters who are looking for ways to build their own happiness after getting fed up with the society in which they live.
Misty Vixen usually focuses on her protagonists who are counterculture, themes of BDSM, open communication, respect and honesty, and sexual encounters.
Vixen’s first focus is her protagonists and when she started writing in 2015, she very much went against the culture of the time, as she never wrote stereotypical male protagonists.
As such, she does not write about the tough guys, the Alphas and the douche bros who never treat women right and never experience any consequences since they are hot and central to the story.
Misty also never writes about playboy billionaires whose only redeeming quality is money, and neither did she write about the bad boys, the larger-than-life outlaws, the NAVY Seals, and the ultra-ripped firefighters.
She was more interested in realistic characters such as quiet introverts, self-conscious nerds, and socially awkward technicians.
For about half a decade, she penned that type of novel. However, she would soon tire of these and began to pen novels about a different type of protagonist.
Nonetheless, her leads were not alpha assholes but protagonists who were more self assured, who get things done and take charge without being all-powerful assholes.
Still, her characters can be uncertain or anxious about themselves, even if they are more decisive and have more confidence.
Misty’s second focus is on foundational themes that she believed in when she first penned “Hellcats” her first story.
Some of the themes that she loves to write about include poly and functional open relationships, trust, safe BDSM, honesty, open communication, and respect.
She is a huge believer in people being vulnerable and open with each other, talking to each other, and not being punished for it. She also believes in the validity of anxiety and depression and in trying to take on these things in a realistic manner.
Misty has never liked the stoic hardass who bears his suffering in silence and never shows his emotions. She believes that is shockingly unhealthy and unrealistic.
Still, she believes that sometimes people have to make hard decisions and live in a hard world which toughens them. However, emotions remain valid and it is not wrong to be vulnerable to loved ones such as friends and family.
It is for this reason that she hates drama and does not write romance since these usually involve needless unrealistic plots and lying.
Nonetheless, while she hates romance she loves sexual encounters and even though most of her stories cannot be called erotica, sex remains a crucial component of many of her stories.
Misty Vixen’s novel “Haven” is an interesting work of fiction that tells the story of a medical marvel. Upon its unveiling, it was to change humanity and just about everything, but not in the way everyone believed it would.
A virus had taken over the world and made most of the people into brainless zombies and the rest of the people into an inhuman species. In the proceeding decades, society began to reform and rebuild around the new realities.
Life had once been very normal on Earth until the introduction of a new virus that once only affected humans but has recently mutated and is now infecting Inhumans.
Once again the world is ripping itself apart as a new army of very dangerous undead roam the country taking out anyone they come across.
Things only get worse as winter starts setting in across the land. David came into the world decades following the collapse of society and hence he knows all about scavenging for supplies, traveling often, and fighting the living dead.
Over about a year, things had only become worse, particularly when the village where he was spending the winter fell, leaving him and a few friends outnumbered and all alone in the frozen wilderness.
“Haven 2” by Misty Vixen opens following a midnight assault that leaves April, Evelyn, and David’s makeshift home destroyed and the three friends shaken.
They decide it is time to find a new safer place such as the abandoned campgrounds they found in a nearby wilderness recently.
As the three friends try to establish a new life for themselves, it does not take long before they start facing all manner of complications.
It turns out that the place they decided to set up their new home is not empty. In the frozen forests are all manner of zombies, bandits with too much ammunition and no morals who will shake down anyone they find.
On top of everything, they also run into other displaced and struggling people from time to time and David is determined to take care of them too. It is not easy taking care of himself and his group let alone helping other strangers too.
Meanwhile, Cait the gorgeous redhead he first had a hot romance with is back and is showing a lot of interest in him.
While he liked her when they met, things are not more complicated not that he has his insecurities and a bunch of people to worry about.
Misty Vixen’s “Haven 3” is an interesting new addition to the “Post-Apocalyptic Haven” series of novels.
At the beginning of the story, David is surprised by how well things have been in the past.
Despite all the challenges: the raiders in the region, the bandit attacks, the undead, the cold, and the pressure of a ton of people looking for help on his doorstep, things have been going very well.
But he knows good things rarely last and it is only a matter of time before he has to fight to protect what he has achieved.
It has been about a fortnight since the last assault on his settlement and several massive blizzards have made it impossible to make anything more than occasional forays into the wilderness to find supplies.
With the ferocity of the storms lessening, they are not determined to find the bandits who have terrorized the area for a few months so that they can take them out.
But it will not be easy as their enemies have guns and numbers, even though David and his people hate their guts and will take them on nonetheless.
