The “Mitzy Moon” series is a set of cozy mystery novels by Trixie Silvertale. In her childhood, she would usually be found reading all manner of mystery novels. She always had an obsession with anything paranormal and was fascinated by the amateur sleuths that were found in cozy mysteries. These passions combine in the “Mitzy Moon Mysteries” which she launched when she published “Fries and Alibis” in 2019. The series of novels is a dream of becoming an author come true. She had always found the life of a private investigator fascinating and she still thinks she would make an excellent amateur sleuth. She still loves reading paranormal cozy and cozy mystery novels and watching anything with investigations on TV. Ever since the television series “Charlie’s Angels” aired on TV she always dreamed of one day growing up to take on the bad guys. She still finds a lot of fun constructing her detective mysteries. When she is not writing her novels, she can be found tending her vegetable garden or baking.

When Trixie Silvertale decided to publish her novels, she decided to go the self publishing route. Through self publishing, she had the opportunity and flexibility to connect with readers who she believes are the most critical part of the creative process. She thus uses the feedback she gets from readers to write stories that her readers want to read. As for her inspiration, she cites the Nancy Drew, Lilian Jackson Braun, Hardy Boys, Kerry Greenwood, Adele Abbott, and Nova Nelson novels as being very influential.

The “Mitzy Moon Mystery” series by Trixie Silvertale are a fascinating blend of cozy and paranormal mystery stories that also throw in a touch of romance. They come with supernatural intrigue, snarky heroines and a dash of romance to make for some very enjoyable whodunits. The novels follow the life and times of an amateur sleuth named Mizzy Moon who inherits a huge fortune and bookshop with paranormal tomes. But then she arrives home to get embroiled in a murder mystery. She soon learns that she has paranormal powers but keeps stumbling into dead bodies and is forced to investigate when the police believe she could be responsible for the killings. As a psychic sleuth she is very effective but her powers may just land her in trouble too.

“Fries and Alibis,” the first novel of the “Mitzy Moon” series, introduces the lead character Mitzy Moon. She had always believed she was an orphan and hence she was astounded when she got a special delivery from her grandmother. Inside the delivery, she finds a letter telling her that she is the heir to a huge bookshop full of paranormal volumes and a massive fortune too. She immediately leaves her low rent apartment and heads to Pin Cherry Harbor, a small quirky village to claim her inheritance. But immediately she gets home, she is found standing over a corpse by a local sheriff. She is desperate to prove to the police that she is innocent. Meanwhile, she has to claim a spirit from beyond the grave and the entitled cat that her grandmother left her. Will her paranormal helpers help her find the killer before the sexy and handsome sheriff comes to arrest her?

In “Tattoos and Clues,” Mitzy is living a well off life since she is now a wealthy business woman in the small hometown she had grown up in. She had been living a very meagre existence in Arizona and could never be happier than she is now. She met Twiggy who was her grandmother’s employee and dear friend, her grandma’s attorney, and most importantly her father. She had also been left a giant cat that lives in the bookstore alongside her grandmother’s spirit. Also left to her is the ex husband of her grandmother who insists that she has to accept free burgers in his diner for life. She could be developing something of a crush on the local sheriff even though he had taken her into police custody on the day they met. When she stumbl;es upon another body, she can only hope that the sheriff will not be looking at her as a suspect again.

“Wings and Broken Things” the third novel of the “Mitzy Moon” series opens to a crime that did not have any witnesses. But Mitzy Moon is a determined psychic sleuth and will not hesitate to use her ever expanding talents. She is very interested in investigating the hit and run accident that had severely injured a man that was her best veterinarian. But she cannot find any leads and before she can muster one she is distracted by a charming green eyed man. But she is desperate for clues and decides to work undercover at a local school only to mess up badly. The only way to get out of the terrible situation is through the alchemically inclined lawyer, an interfering cat and meddling Grams. But her powers are put on the fritz by a gypsy curse, which means she is in even deeper trouble. Can she juggle sleuthing and dating or has she bitten off more than she can chew.
