She regularly has conversations with the dog as they go about their days, sometimes speaking on very deep topics while others times simply having animated chats.
She has five dogs as well that she looks after and a cat that she describes as ‘snarky’. She is married to her husband, who is a comedian. They have a daughter together. Molly (or Melissa) resides with her family in Michigan in a home located on a high hill in the woods. She will leave the house on occasion to get some good coffee, food, or try to glimpse and make friends with some animals.
Molly Fitz is the creator and author of the Pet Whisperer P.I. series of novels. This series first started out in 2019 with the publication of the debut novel, Kitty Confidential. This was followed by the publication of the second book in the series, Terrier Transgressions. She followed that up with the third book, Hairless Harassment, and there have been tons of novels that have come out since! If you’re looking for a light and fun series full of mystery to read, be sure to check out this cozy mystery series.
Kitty Confidential is the first novel in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series by Molly Fitz. With a talking cat, a murder mystery, and cases to solve, once this story gets started one person’s life is never going to be the same.
The main character in this story is Angie Russo. She is a regular young woman in her twenties. She has a total of seven associate degrees. When it comes to her life, she has no concept of what she would like to do with it. But when she almost dies one day and has a brush with what it’s like to not be alive, everything changes.
The accident is a strange one. She nearly dies because of an old coffee maker that she has. It’s pretty embarrassing, but the worst part is that everything has shifted. That means that she wakes up and finds that she can speak to animals, or at least, just one of them. This either means that she hit her head or she really somehow has awakened with this new ability.
The animal that she can now speak to has a very long name that starts with Octavius and keeps on going to Maxwell Ricardo Edmund and so forth. There are too many names in his name for any one person to be able to reliably recall. As a result, Angie has just decided to call him Octo-Cat for short. It’s easier and she can remember it.
Octo-Cat speaks very quickly, to the point that it can be tough to figure out what he’s saying sometimes. Angie engages with the cat in conversation and continues to tell Angie about a situation that he’s involved in. His owner passed away, and everyone thinks that it was due to natural causes. Octo-Cat doesn’t agree and seems to have reasons for believing otherwise.
Angie wants to help him out and since she’s here, she may as well. She’s apparently going to become the first private investigator and pet whisperer in Blueberry Bay. All the while, she’ll keep up appearances by continuing to pose as a paralegal at the Fulton, Thompson & Associates offices. She has no idea how others have made this look so easy, or whether she’ll be successful at solving the murder case.
One thing that Angie does know is that she’s going to give it her best shot. Can she figure out what happened to Octo-Cat’s poor deceased owner? If so, will she be able to track down the person that did it or discover what the circumstances were behind his passing? Read this cozy mystery novel to find out!
Terrier Transgressions is the second novel in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series of fictional novels by Molly Fitz. In the first book, readers got to meet Angie Russo for the first time as well as Octo-Cat.
When a cat detective is able to meet up with a dog witness, things might have a tendency to go wrong. Angie has gotten over her near death experience, but now is trying to adjust to the fact that she is able to talk to animals. This by now is to her a proven fact. Even if the only animal that she talks to that actually speaks back to her is the animal known as Octo-Cat.
Angie’s gotten adjusted to speaking to animals. The only thing that she doesn’t have down is any idea how she’s going to be able to cover up her secret and keep this thing going. It would probably not be that wonderful if anyone found out. So of course, someone naturally does. Angie works at a law firm and now one of her associates has found out about her secret skill.
Rather than suggesting that she examine whether or not her ‘gift’ is actually real or not, they believe it fully. They also want Angie to use the talent that she has to help them defend their client, who is facing a charge of double murder. Charles Longfellow the third is kind of attractive to Angie. But even if she were to help, the cat doesn’t want to at all.
Octo-Cat dislikes the client and calls him “Upchuck”. But they’re all in it together, and they’ve got to get to the bottom of this case. With Yo-Yo the Yorkie who doesn’t get that his owner’s dead involved, can they figure out a murder but salvage Yo-Yo’s heart? Read this mystery story to find out!

I just finished the three Merlin books and really
loved them.
I really felt like I liked Merlin and Luna and will miss them.
(I actually listened to the books in the car, as I really don’t have time to sit down and read otherwise. I listened in the BookFunnel app to the audible versions.) Will you be writing more books in that series?
Hi Molly,
I just read the “paranormal Temp Agency” Book and now I’m hooked up. Will there be more books of these series? They are the best of the best.
Greetings from Germany
Just wanted to say hello and let you know you have a couple new fans here. Lizzy Belle my cat and I read Kitty Confidential and now we can’t wait to read the next one. Love Octo-Cat. Thanks so much. Sue and Lizzy
