Moon Shifter is a book series written by Katie Reus, who is the New York Times, IndieReader and USA Today bestselling female author of the Moon Shifter series, Deadly Ops series and the Red Stone Security series. The Moon Shifter book series contains 8 novels that were published between the years 2012 and 2015. Each novel in the book series introduces us to unique characters who are members of the Lupine wolf shifter pack that are constantly faced with great odds and powerful villains in an attempt to save their lives and those of their lovers. Other strange supernatural beings like witches and vampires are also introduced in the process.

Anna Cordona

Anna is the Alpha’s eldest daughter who survives together with a few female wolf shifters after all the males and most of their female counterparts in the “Lupine” pack are mysteriously killed through poisoning. She is depicted as an Alpha heroine in the novel “Alpha Instinct” after she assumes the lead role as the temporary leader of the pack. She is a strong- willed, stubborn, fierce and strong leader. Anna Cordona is also determined to protect her pack even if it sacrifices her happiness or safety in the process.

Taggart

Taggart, who is Anna’s neighbor, is a devious shifter that hatches a plot to take control of Anna’s ranch and also take her as his mate against forcefully. He is depicted as a jerk and opportunist as the misogynist alpha sees Anna’s demise as a great opportunity to benefit himself through attacking so as to expand his territory. This is not only a cowardly act, but also an act of pure desperation.

Connor Armstrong

Connor, who is depicted as the Alpha hero in Alpha instinct comes to save Anna Cordona who is the damsel in distress from Taggart among other evil forces. He also happens to be Anna’s long lost lover who managed to disappear without a trace or providing any explanation for that matter. He later comes back totally unapologetic and does not deem it necessary to explain himself making him more of a stubborn jerk too. He is depicted to be quite strong, fierce and commanding. He is also very protective of Anna and would gladly do anything to ensure her safety.

Aiden Nicholl

Aiden Nicholl is a warrior wolf shifter who suffers in silence for the loss of his bond mate. He is a member of the Armstrong- Cordona’s pack who is totally devoted towards making the world a better place. He also happens to be quite annoying when he torments his male colleagues who do not take their female mates seriously. He is a good investigator who is also portrayed by his amazing eternal love and devotion for Larissa.

Larissa Danesti

Larissa is a blood born royal vampire from the famous Danesti line. She has been in a strange sleep/ coma for the last 60 years and wakes up with a serious loss of memory. Larissa Danesty is Aiden’s lost vampire lover and bond mate who had disappeared on him without a trace. Due to the malicious lies and inaccuracies that she has been fed by the witch who woke her from the long coma, she finds it quite difficult to trust Aiden at first.

“Alpha Instinct”

Alpha Instinct is an adventurous story about Anna Cordona who is a female leader tasked with the responsibility of protecting her wolf pack after most of her female counterparts and all the male wolf shifters are mysteriously poisoned and killed. Being that she is assuming the top position as an Alpha, she meets a lot of resistance from opportunistic male wolf shifters who deem her unworthy to take the Alpha role.

She is torn between saving her pack and the constant advances from Taggart, who is a misogynist alpha with devious plans of assuming the leadership of her pack. Connor Armstrong, who was Anna Cordona’s lover, returns in time to find the complicated situation that Anna’s Lupine park is in and promises to do everything in his power to protect her and all the other members of the pack.

Connor desires to take back Anna as his mate at the very moment he sets his eyes on her, but is made to keep is desires in check due to the extremely complicated past they have had. He comes to learn a very painful lesson that for him to be loved by Anna Cordona, he needs to earn her love and trust through his deeds and commitment.

The story’s plot gets even more interesting and complicated when Anna and Connor realize that Taggart is not their only true enemy as there are humans who are devoted towards wiping out all the shape shifters inhibiting their town as they see them as a threat to humanity.

“Hunter Reborn”

Hunter Reborn is a unique supernatural story that introduces vampires in addition to wolf shifters. It is a unique love story about Aiden Nicholl and Larissa Danesti who are faced with great odds and powerful enemies in an attempt to fight for their love and existence.

Aiden is immersed in an investigation concerning the illegal trafficking of vampire blood only to find out his long lost lover is alive but has no memory of him or their love. This is very heartbreaking to him as the two had defied their powerful families in order to be together risking a lot in the process. He risks losing her making their previous sacrifice to be in vain. Aiden is quite determined that this time he is not going to let Larissa out of his life again as her disappearance had almost destroyed him and he can’t bear the thought of living without her again.

The two are caught in a dangerous war with a devious, powerful monster that requires Larissa’s blood as a vital key to his evil plan. The monster is determined to destroy Larissa sparking a great war between the supernaturals and humans that no one is capable of winning. This makes the determined couple to fight for their survival and for the chance to rekindle their long lost love.
