This book was released in the year 2013 and it is the first book of James Dashner under the series entitled Mortality Doctrine. The book has been published by Delacorte Press. The book revolves around a completely futuristic world. The book talks about the role played by a young gamer who has to prevent a rogue hacker. The hacker’s objective is to cause destruction on a massive scale. Though not exactly in the same league as other books it certainly has quite a few similarities as far as feel and tone is concerned. The plot is about Michael. It also refers to two of his other friend Sarah and Bryson. All the three of them are accomplished and talented hackers. Their main objective is to track down a notorious cyber terrorist named Kane. She is notorious for trapping people trapped inside Virtual Net. This actually impacts the real life of the gamers because they start committing suicide because they code out their cores. As the things move along at a fast pace it certainly becomes a fascinating journey which keeps the readers on tenterhooks. The book has received reasonably good reviews from many journal and publications. They mention that the book well and truly results in an adrenaline rush amongst the readers.

The Rules Of Thoughts

This is the second book under the series Mortality Doctrine. It is a sequel to the first book The Eye of The Mind. Though Michael (the main character) has been able to successfully complete the path, what he found at the end was not exactly as he had expected. He had never expected his life to be this way and eventually he found that his entire world was being turned upside down. He somehow manages to survive and this is perhaps the only way by which can find out the location of the cyber terrorist Kaine. As he moves along this journey, he finds that what he knew of Kaine and what actually he comes across are highly complex and completely different. He has to encounter and overcome the sinister master plan of Kaine and the plan is what Mortality Doctrine all about.

Movies made from the Series Of Mortality Doctrine

The Eye Of the Series was made into a movie and it was released in September 2013. The cast of the movie is quite impressive and the movie has been able to garner good reviews and it also has done reasonably well in the box office.


In fine, it would be pertinent to mention here that James Dashner with his swashbuckling Mortality Doctrine series has been able to win over the hearts and minds of millions of young people especially those who are steeping out their teens and having a first look at the world as young adults.
