About Nancy Cole Silverman
Writing mystery stories, the American writer Nancy Cole Silverman is a gifted master of intrigue and suspense. Hooking the reader, she gently lulls them in, keeping them there, as each page turn reveals a new and exciting revelation. This is something that she’s become highly adept at over the years, producing a number of series and stand out leading protagonists.

Setting herself apart from the rest, she has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time, really making a name for herself. Her work is immediately accessible, as it always manages to convey a number of different ideas seemingly with complete ease. This is something that she doesn’t seem to stopping any time soon either, as she definitely has a lot more to say still.

Early and Personal Life:
Born in Seattle in the United States, Nancy Cole Silverman would come to live in Phoenix, a city which would feature heavily in her work. This would soon pave the way towards her becoming a writer, as she’d put her own life into her work, inspiring her as she went along. Developing herself as a storyteller over the years, she’d come to express herself creatively, establishing a style and tone that was all her own.

Attending Arizona State University, she would go on to receive a degree based in Mass Communications, allowing her to get a job in radio. This would see her telling stories for a living, applying her craft to the medium of live broadcasts, as she would work as a reporter. Working on her style and delivery, she quickly became adept at speaking to large audiences, something that she’d later apply to her writing.

She would also go on to become one of the first on-air female reporters working on live broadcast television in Phoenix. Building herself a profile fast, she would start making herself and her brand known, as she became a familiar face upon the TV for many. There was also a period she worked as one of the top advertising sales executives in the industry too, as she learned how to adapt herself and her product to an even wider audience.
It would be her writing where her heart always truly lay though, as Silverman finally turned to working as a novelist full-time. Taking it up, she fast found fame as a novelist, reaching a worldwide audience, as she would be a household name for many. Continuing to this very day from her home in Los Angeles, she’s always on the lookout for new and exciting ideas, as there plenty more to come yet.

Writing Career:
Focusing on her love of horses and all things equestrian for her first book, Nancy Cole Silverman would release the book ‘The Centaur’s Promise’ in 2010. This would be a fantasy novel, allowing her to find her feet as a writer, whilst also introducing her to the reading public at large. It would also be a stand-alone, not a part of any series as such, although most of her other novels would feature as part of a collection.

A large portion of Silverman’s career would be centered around her Carol Child’s series of mysteries, which featured the eponymous reporter in the lead-role. Releasing the first novel in 2013, she’d publish the stand-alone novel ‘When in Doubt, Don’t!’ which would be separate from the rest of the series. It would tell of a story of the young radio reporter Carol early on in her career inadvertently leasing property to a group of white separatist extremists, something which was inspired by an event in Silverman’s own life, and how she dealt with the ordeal.

The Misty Dawn mysteries was another collection of stories that Silverman would become famous for as well. These would also lead to her becoming the highly respected author that she currently is today, putting out work on a regular basis. Having previously edited ‘The Equestrian News’ for some time too, she’s a versatile writer with a lot more to say.

Reason to Doubt
Initially published through the Henery Press publishing label, this would first come out on the 6th of November in 2018. The fifth title in the ongoing Carol Child’s Mystery series, it would continue on from the last with another self-contained case for the eponymous reporter to solve. Whilst it’s its own thing, it does still carry on in much the same vein as before, providing more of what the readers have now come to expect.

Working as a reporter for her local radio station, Carol Childs is always on the lookout for a new case, and this time it appears to have arrived in the form of her daughter’s new boyfriend. Returning from college, her daughter has a photographer boyfriend who police now believe to be the notorious serial-killer, the ‘Model Slayer’. Sending Carol’s life upside down, she soon gets a call from a waitress who says she’s killed the real killer herself, and that they have the wrong man. Can she find the truth behind it before it’s too late? Just who is the real killer and where are they hiding? What is the one reason to doubt?

The House That Vanity Built
This was the second title in the ‘Misty Dawn Mystery’ series of novels, following the Hollywood psychic dealing with the inexplicable. Rooted in reality, this provides another stand-alone novel, as it sees Misty working with her assistant and psychic ward Wilson Thorne. Coming out in 2020, it was released in May, brought out through Henery Press publishing imprint once again.

Previously working as a psychic to the stars, Misty Dawn knows many of the secrets lurking under the shiny veneer of Hollywood only too well. Visited by a young woman who has lost her engagement ring, Misty is then plunged into a whole new case involving a rich and wealth family. Getting the feeling that this may not be an accident, she soon finds her behind the walls of the Conroy Estate, dealing with a plan that sees a desire for revenge. Will Misty be able to learn the truth? Where did the ring disappear to? What happens within the house that vanity built?
