Naomi Troyer
Naomi Troyer writes Amish romance novels.

“Ivy’s Lamb” is a stand alone novel that was released in the year 2020. Ivy’s life is in turmoil. Her parents were never wealthy and there were many hungry nights during her childhood, but there was an abundant amount of love in their home. Ivy’s mom announced that she is to marry a farmer from one community over, she cannot help but feel like she’s a burden. She won’t go against her parents wishes, but she can’t fathom living with a guy she barely knows.

The farm was Peter’s entire life. It was in his family for generations and a condition in his grandpa’s will threatens to remove all of it, Peter’s got no choice but to ask a bishop for help.

Neither Peter or Ivy are ready for married life. What begins as stilted dinners and terse silence becomes affectionate banter when this lamb enters their lives. Peter falls in love with his wife yet carries this secret which might drive her away. Ivy’s afraid of loving any man that shows little emotion. Could it possibly be love shining in his eyes?

“Ava’s Story” is the first novel in the “Yoder Sisters” series and was released in the year 2020. Ava, while standing by the grave of her parents, knows that she now has got a world of responsibility upon her shoulders. Along with her sisters, she also has got the farm to think about. A poor harvest from three years ago left their parents swimming in debt. Should this year’s crop not be successful, the sisters could lose the family farm.

A stranger offers them help in exchange for just room and board, and Ava knows that she’s got no choice but to accept. Levi Stoltfuz does things much differently than her dad, however what bothers her more is the way she feels when she is looking at him.

As she tries to save the farm, grieve her parents, and ignore the feelings she has for their new foreman, her youngest sister Callie is proving to be rather difficult. Callie, who’s unable to cope with the loss of their parents, spirals out of control.

Can Ava hold her family together and save their farm? Is this really the right time for love? Does she even have a choice?

“Bertha’s Miracle” is the second novel in the “Yoder Sisters” series and was released in the year 2020. Bertha knows that it is time to move on.

With Callie continuing to act out after their parents’ death, Ava planning her wedding, Bertha figures it’s time to begin thinking of her own future. When Noah Lapp, the local farm stall proprietor, offers her a job as a shop assistant she jumps at the chance. She enjoys the work, too. Particularly the warm feelings that wash over her whenever her boss looks at her.

Bertha and Callie, after Ava is married, move into the dawdi haus so the newlyweds can have some privacy. Callie gets even more impossible to live with at that point. Bertha finds herself being torn between dreading going home to Callie each night and enjoying her work. Bertha is falling in love with her new boss, until an accident leaves the farm stall ruined. Bertha knows that he will never look her way again.

Not only did she lose her job, but the Lapp family’s business has been ruined. Can a miracle actually save the farm stall? Is she going to find love and forgiveness? When is she going to realize that she is not the only one that is grieving?

“Callie’s Decision” is the third novel in the “Yoder Sisters” series and was released in the year 2020. Callie faces the largest choice of her life. Should she stay or just go? Her Amish life holds nothing but those painful memories from her parents. Off to the city for her rumspringa, she is excited she’ll get to experience as much as possible.

Love strikes when she discovers her attraction to Michael Gardner, a funny and kind Englischer that likes Callie regardless of her Amish heritage. While she loses her heart, she even loses her desire to go back home. It is time to sever all ties with her Amish heritage, despite how much it could hurt.

In a surprising turn of events, Callie goes back home in tears. She is much too ashamed to tell her sisters what happened and finds a bit of solace in her friendship with Adam Zook. She has known Adam her whole life and she needs a friend, same as he does.

Could this friendship become something more? Is she going to consider sticking around in the orndung, or will she just be biding her time until she leaves?

“The Amish Horse Breeder’s Daughter” is a stand alone novel that was released in the year 2021. The first man that catches Abigail’s eye is the one guy her dad does not approve of.

Abigail hasn’t yet courted. She’s spent much of her time with the horses that are bred on their farm, and has little time for the dull courtships and guys that don’t quicken her pulse. However when there’s a mare in trouble and the handsome new vet comes calling, she knows that things are close to changing.

Levi and his mom left from the community when he was just a boy. After he spent half his life in the Englisch world and became a vet, he realizes that his true roots are with the Amish he knew as a child. Making the decision to come back, he agrees to an extended proving period, to both the community and the elders that he’s ready to commit to his Amish life.

However some aren’t as welcoming as the bishop and are actually stand-offish and cold. Warned to keep away from Abigail by her dad, Levi feels his hopes are dwindling, wondering if he’s ever going to be accepted back in.

Can she go against her dad’s wishes and follow her heart? Is Levi going to be able to prove to this community that leaving was never his choice but coming back is? Enjoy this sweet little Amish romance which proves that perceptions can be wrong and that love, even the unexpected kind, truly can be genuine.
