Jake has started seeing things lurking in the shadows, and he is at a point where he is questioning his sanity. Just what is going on? Can Jake and his friend unravel this mystery before something significant happens? Who is sending him coded messages and why?

Jake has always been an outsider in his Stoneham hometown. The teenager lost his father six years ago, thanks to a dark energy explosion that killed a dozen people. Things get complicated when Jake sees a satellite crash-landing only to start receiving messages that point to a conspiracy. Now he knows he has to make peace with his best friend Chloe Haze, a coding genius who can trace the root of this mystery before it is too late. If the unleashed events are anything to go by, Jake is sure that he has to work fast; otherwise, whatever is coming can turn life into a dystopian nightmare.

Join Jake and Chloe as they get follow clues from the computer board they picked from the wrecked satellite. This tumulus ride will lead them down the rabbit hole. Here, they will be confronted with globe-threatening drama, dark shadowy beings, an alien AI and horrendous government cover-ups. Even before the ex-marine can finish briefing Josh, he is killed by a sniper’s bullet. What is it about the veteran’s words that Josh cannot get out of his head? Was this a case of depression, or did the ex-marine know enough to make him want to end his life?

The president also has a story to tell. While he mostly doesn’t worry about the threats directed towards him, something feels different. For a while, the president has been dreaming of his death. The violence and all other details seem so real. Is there someone in his head? How can one dream keep recurring and look so real?
