Nina Bangs is a prolific author of multiple series of romantic suspense, paranormal romance, and general romance fiction.

The author was born in San Antonio Texas but spent much of her childhood in New Jersey. Growing up she used to dream of one day becoming a cowgirl riding a massive black stallion as she loved reading the horse novels of Walter Farley.
Given that she was just a child, she relied for the most part on her imagination to get much-needed excitement in her life. By the time she was a teenager in high school, she had traded in her lariat for a trench coat as she loved the dangerous and dark.
She used to think of herself as an adventure-seeking foreign correspondent even if much of her work was reading the Agatha Christie novels.

During her college days, she found a job working at a department store and her stint in the accounting department convinced her that she was not meant for a career that involved mathematics.

By then, she had discovered the classics and used to read the likes of “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy and “Ulysses” by James Joyce.

Bangs would graduate with an English Literature degree from Rutgers University and a determination to avoid any literature with tragic endings and induced eye-crossing.
As such, it was not surprising that much of what she wrote during that time were research papers.

She would then move to Dublin, Ireland, where she spent several years teaching second grade. Bangs used to team up with a colleague and they supported themselves by singing folk songs in Irish clubs.

While they were not that good, they were enthusiastic, young, and wore short skirts, which attracted a lot of attention. At the time, she believed she would be the next Judy Collins and used to spend a lot of time reading music books.
Ultimately, she went back to New Jersey and began teaching elementary school before she grew restless and started traveling all over the US to Texas, California, and Arizona.

Along the way, she had the opportunity to indulge in her obsession with horses and particularly Arabian mares. She also read many books about show horses and their breeding.
At some point, she started reading romances and soon enough started writing her own.

After wandering all over the United States, Nina Bangs now makes her home in Texas perhaps because of her love for horses.

When she is not writing her romance novels, she fantasizes about horses and particularly the Arabian show horses she once owned and worked with.

She hopes to one day dust off her guitar and go back to playing the guitar in addition to working with pastels and taking art lessons. The one hobby she is actively pursuing has to be reading fantasy novels and watching TV.
She also does things with her fellow author friends Gerry Bartlett of the Real Vampires series and Donna Malloy who is the author of Regency romances.

In addition to helping each other with their fiction they also do lunches, shows in Houston, day trips, and shopping trips from time to time.

“Wicked Nights” by Nina Bangs introduces talk show host Donna Nolan. She hosts an anything-goes program but has decided to leave New York with its normalcy and head to the bizarre, wicked, and wild lands of Texas.
Several of her callers have told her of a weird situation at the Castle of Dark Dreams and this got her out there. She never wanted to go but she has no say in the matter.

Upon landing in Texas, she immediately knew she was on the right track when she met the owner of a sweet shop who seems obsessed with sensual vampires.

There is a lot of paranormal activity going on in town including the bizarre actions of a wannabe Merlin, a mind-talking cat, and three gorgeous testosterone-filled men.
Initially, Eric McNair who has been nicknamed “Eric the Evil” seems uninterested in talking to her or showing her his castle.

However, while they cannot agree when it comes to the bizarre happenings at the castle, they just cannot keep their hands off each other.

Donna is at a loss at what to do as she wants to believe but what she is being asked to believe is too out there to even contemplate.
