Niobia Bryant is the award-winning and bestselling author of more than fifty urban fiction and romance novels.

She has said that she was born and bred a writer and hence it was not such a surprise that she became an exceptional author. In fact, there is nothing she could imagine doing besides telling tales and creating stories.

As for her writing in different genres, she has said that she always read all manner of genres. In that regard, she always has all manner of ideas which means she can never run out of stories to write.

The New Jersey native was born and bred in Newark to Ernest and Letha. She has one sibling in Caleb her brother and during her childhood, she had to be witness to her mother’s suffering trying to raise them all alone.

Nonetheless, it was her mother who was responsible for introducing her to books very early on. As for her schooling, she went to the Newark Public Schools system before earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from University High School.
Later on, she went to the South Orange-based Seton Hall University where she got her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral and Social Science.

In 2020, Niobia Bryant celebrated 20 years since she published “Admission of Love” her debut romance novel. Over the years, she would venture into other genres of fiction writing adult fiction as Simone Bryant and urban fiction as Meesha Mink.
Given her exceptional character development and storytelling skills, her works have often been critically acclaimed.

Her works have also been nominated and won many awards, been translated into foreign languages, been released in audiobook form, been released in library and large print editions, and been book club feature selections.
Niobia has been a two-time winner of the Best Multicultural or African American Romance Award by the Romantic Times.

Writing under the pseudonym Meesha Mink, she made the shortlist for Best African American fiction in Library Journal. She also got a nomination for Best Multicultural Fiction RT Award for her novel “The Pleasure Trap.”
She believes her biggest achievement was getting “Message from a Mistress,” one of her novels adapted into a film.

Over the years, her works have been featured in many online and print publications that include Essence Magazine, Black Hair Magazine UK, The Star-Ledger, The Library Journal, The New York Post, and All Hip Hop, among many other publications.

In 2015, Niobia Bryant set up “Infinite Ink Presents,” her own ebook publishing company through which she would release her own out-of-print works.

The first work that she released under the Imprint was the ebook edition of her very first romance novel “Admission of Love.”

Even though she still plans on continuing to release her novel through traditional publishers, she has achieved a lot of success reissuing her novels as ebooks.

Bryant has now made the decision to release her new books both under ebook and traditional publishing which makes her a hybrid author.

She now has more than 50 works to her name across a range of collections of short stories, novellas, omnibuses, single-standing novels, and series. She currently splits her time between South Carolina and New Jersey.
