With a career in the United States marine corps, he was to get a clear idea of how the military actually operated. All of this was to then go back into his books, effectively informing both his style and his tone throughout them all. Selling his books on a worldwide scale, it’s not just American audiences that these books have been read by. Whilst he uses his unique experiences within the army, they use the typical conventions of the thriller model to make them more commercial. Writing for a number of years now, he has got his own formula with which he works by, something which his readers have continued to navigate towards.
