Patricia D. Eddy is a paranormal romance and general romance author that has made a name for herself writing stories for the beautifully broken.
Fueled by wine, coffee, and “Doctor Who” episodes, she writes about damaged heroines and heroes who ultimately find their happily ever after. From BDSM to Paranormal to military, she has her characters colliding with heat even as sparks always fly.

She has said that the “Away From Keyboard” series will forever be her first love. It was in that series that she started hearing her many eccentric characters telling her own stories while she would just put them on paper.

Patricia loves interacting with her fans in addition to curling up on the couch with her cats and fuzzy blankets. She currently lives in Seattle with her husband and several felines.

She sometimes does engage in home improvement projects and loves to do anything that involves the use of power tools.

Eddy remembers that the first story she ever did was written from her parent’s kitchen counter. Her parents has then just bought their first computer and she loved writing on it.

Given that they then lived in the country and she was an only child, she had a lot of time to sit down and come up with all manner of stories. Patricia then stopped typing her stories out and started playing them only in her head. It was not until 2002 that she got serious with writing once again.

However, she would not publish for another decade and it was only in 2013 that she published “Freed” the debut novel of the “By the Fate” series of novels. The author now has more than three dozen novels to her name spread across several series.

Her greatest joy as an author is discovering her characters and the worlds they live in. She loves discovering the different personalities, which she peels off to discover even fresher layers beneath just like you would an onion.

Patricia Eddy’s novels are romance novels but for the most part, are all about relationships. She finds the relationship building between men and women a fascinating topic.

As such, she writes everything about these relationships from the fighting to the making up to the sex and how they deal with life’s challenges.

Like many of her contemporaries, Patricia D. Eddy reads a lot of books from where she gets a lot of the inspiration she needs for her novels.

Since she often writes about military men and women, she has been known to read a lot of biographies and autobiographies of first responders, intelligence officers, and soldiers. Not only do they keep her informed but in many instances, the nonfiction works she reads are real-life experiences by the authors.
She is also inspired by her own experiences and those of the people she meets going about her life. Once she has her ideas, she will usually start working on several different projects bouncing from manuscript to manuscript.

Patricia likes working late at night and usually writes every day getting between 200 to 2000 words written per session. When she is not writing her novels, she can be found enjoying yoga, learning to play the guitar, and playing Guildwars.

Patricia Eddy’s novel “Breaking His Code” opens with West drifting aimlessly and all alone. His nights are haunted by demons from the past, making it almost impossible to get a moment’s rest.

When one particularly painful demon comes calling, the pain is too severe that it would tear him apart even though he refuses to heed the call. Meanwhile, his Krav Maga studio is struggling which means he finds his solace in online gaming sessions.

On the other hand, is former explosive agent Cam, who worked in Afghanistan for a time but had to leave after she was scarred for life by one wrong move. She now finds solace behind her can and her keyboard until she is convinced by a girl she had been chatting with online and gives him a chance.

He is caught between the first stirrings of love and looming threats that cause her to bolt so that she will not have to admit her brokenness.

“In Her Sights” by Patricia D. Eddy is the story of sharpshooter Inara, who works for Hidden Agenda. It is a clandestine company that rescues kidnapped people and sometimes takes out particularly troublesome high-ranking persons.

At the opening of the novel, she has a serious case of post-traumatic stress disorder since she just lost someone on her team. She blames herself for the moment’s hesitation she believes led to her team member’s demise.

On the other hand, is the owner of Emerald City Security Royce who was unfortunate enough to get a stroke while undergoing surgery for a brain tumor. His body has been significantly altered even though his mind still remains as sharp as ever.

When Inara meets Royce, she discovers they have a great connection but given her line of work she keeps away. She does not want to get too close to anyone, as each mission she undertakes could very well be her last. But the man still manages to find a way through despite her best efforts.

While he managed to convince her to start something with him, he is still not in the clear as she is dealing with the limitations of his new body. The last thing he was thinking of was a relationship. But he threw caution to the wind and opened up his heart and mind to Inara.

Patricia D. Eddy’s novel “On His Six” is the story of ex-special forces man Ryker McCabe. He now makes his home in Boston running his own agency.
Half a dozen years in the past, Ryker had been part of a captured team and had spent more than a year imprisoned in the mountains. During that time, he had been starved, beaten, and tortured but refused to give up anything.

Once he broke out, he had gone back home and isolated himself only to come out when there was work to be done. He thinks of himself as a monster given his scars but now has to get out of his isolation somehow.

Wren the only other survivor of that ordeal makes her home in Seattle and is an employee of the computer hacker that has offered Ryker a job. It seems Wren’s brother has disappeared and she immediately reckons there is no way she can resolve the mystery of his disappearance all alone.

Things are even more complicated when his body turns up pumped full of heroin. He had told his family that he had been clean for months and she does not believe he had slipped up and overdosed.

Ryker feels compelled to help Wren but he does not know what kind of trouble he is getting himself into.
