Paul J. Teague
Paul Teague was born in Kent, raised in Lincolnshire, and has lived in Cumbria, Spain, Humberside, and Lancashire.
Paul’s worked as a shopkeeper, primary school teacher, waiter, a disc jockey and a radio broadcaster and journalist for the BBC.
He wrote his first book at the age of nine, which was called “Mr. Plum and Mr. Apple”. The hand written story got the inevitable rejection note from Penguin Books, however that never stopped him dabbling with writing throughout his life. He’s written plays, short stories, letters for magazines, and hundreds of web articles, even a few self-published books on marketing, just never a full-length fiction book.
Paul’s read thrillers his entire life, beginning with Enid Blyton’s “Famous Five” series as a kid, then graduating to Harlan Coben, James Hadley Chase, Mark Edwards, and Linwood Barclay.
Paul began writing thrillers with “Don’t Tell Meg” being the first trilogy he wrote, and it draws upon his eighteen year career in radio journalism. It is high action, fast moving, and a tad racy in spots, but he had a ton of fun writing the story.
“Don’t Tell Meg” is the first novel in the “Don’t Tell Meg” series and was released in the year 2017. One night, two women. So many deaths. When Pete Bailey, a radio journalist, betrays Meg, his wife, on his fortieth birthday, he’s got no idea the horrible consequences coming his way after his infidelity.
His passionate relationship with Meg is on the rocks and they have had little luck starting their family. It is just when he meets Ellie Turner, a television reporter, during a working weekend away from home that he succumbs to her charms in one moment of weakness. These treacherous actions set off a series of events that is fueled by revenge, hatred, violence, and jealousy.
Five people are going to lose their lives as a result of Pete’s deception and he’s going to be compelled to confront the ugly truth about his wife and Jem, his best friend. He believed that no one would ever learn what he had done with Ellie, however he did not know who it was listening in the next room.
“The Murder Place” is the second novel in the “Don’t Tell Meg” series and was released in the year 2017. A former lover and a missing wife. A house that has not yet finished with death quite yet.
Pete Bailey, estranged from his wife and living on a caravan park, believes that the worst has ended. Far away from the marital home where all the murders took place, he’s still hoping to hear from Meg and get a property sold that no one wants to buy. However the television and newspaper reports have not gone unnoticed and there are a few new arrivals in town.
Pete, teaming up with his former lover and TV friend, Alex Kennedy, goes in search of the truth about Meg and hurtles headlong into quite the tangled up mess along the way. The house that two men died in is not quite done with killing, and more people that are close to Pete have to lose their lives before the secrets of Meg’s past are revealed. Pete is going to be brought right to the edge of despair and he risks losing everything.
“The Forgotten Children” is the third novel in the “Don’t Tell Meg” series and was released in the year 2017. A childhood poisoned by betrayal, and a revenge that can’t wait any longer. Things have gone from bad to worse for Pete Bailey. No only is he still estranged from Meg, but he’s found himself living in a rundown flat in Blackpool, quickly running out of money and scraping by just to make ends meet.
However the seaside resort holds all of the secrets of Meg’s childhood years, which were poisoned by betrayal, cruelty, and violence. While Pete gets ever closer to the truth, the past returns to haunt him while a murderer looks to right wrongs and destroy old foes. More lives are going to be lose and those that are dearest to Pete are going to risk most of all. However finally, after all of the misery and death, the horrible truth’s going to be revealed.
“Left For Dead” is the first novel in the “Morecambe Bay” series and was released in the year 2019. A return back to the past. Two guilty secrets and a memory that refuses to stay buried.
When Will and Charlotte Grayson go back to the seaside resort they met at when they were teens, they hope it’s going to heal the wounds in their marriage. However visiting the dilapidated holiday camp where their relationship started just brings horrible memories back from the past.
The guy that had once made their lives a living hell has returned to find them, but the last time they saw the guy, they had left him for dead on the beach. While the threats to their new life get more severe, Will and Charlotte learn that they were mistaken about what exactly happened to Bruce Craven that fateful night. Now he’s returned to finish what began thirty years before.
“Circle of Lies” is the second novel in the “Morecambe Bay” series and was released in the year 2019. One desperate woman and five powerful men. A seaside town rocked right to its core.
Charlotte Grayson finds a local writer dead in her seaside guest home she is determined to figure out what pushed such a successful man to take his own life right at the peak of his career. After an old newspaper clipping gets sent that connects the author to a powerful group of men in town, she begins suspecting that it was not a suicide.
Charlotte, joining up with a local newspaper reporter, soon learns that this sleepy resort hides many darker secrets. While more bodies are discovered it appears this resort is at a serial killer’s mercy, one that is hellbent on getting their revenge. However the truth lies much closer to home and Charlotte has to confront her own past first before she could remove her family from the danger.
Just how far would you go in order to protect your family’s darkest secret?
