Pippa Grant is a chick lit and romance author that writes hilarious novels that usually have her readers in tears. Once upon a time before she decided to become an author, she tried to find a career in the geeky tech world where she was a spectacular failure. This failure is what led her to writing fiction starting with the publishing of “Mister McHottie,” the debut novel of the “Girl Band” series in 2017. With her children old enough to leave her alone for several hours at a time, she put her weird sense of humor to work to write her novels. The USA Today bestselling author has become one of the most prolific in the genre. When she is not sleeping reading or writing her novels, she can be found she can be found earning the title housewife and stay and home mother of the month. She also loves to walk the beach with her hot chocolate chip cookies in hand.
Grant is a pantser to the core as she will usually start her novels with just a rough idea of her plot and the characters, with most the fun parts being spontaneous. She usually does her writing from the guest bedroom in her house which has a private bathroom. This makes it easy to lock herself in her writing cave and work for as long as she can. Pippa usually makes use of a regular desk and treadmill desk to get her work done even though she will sometimes go for a walk to get some inspiration when she runs dry. Still, much of the time when she uses the treadmill is when she does not have the guts to shoo her many cats off her desk chair. As for planning, she has multiple calendars that guide her on what to work on since she has set herself a goal of releasing a novel every one and half to two months. Pippa also has signs on the wall to remind her to be outrageous and funny when the story calls for it.
Pippa Grant’s “Mister McHottie” is the story of Chase and Ambrosia. Chase just bought a company that has as one of its employees the woman of his nightmares. A decade past, she had cost him two of his best friends and he thinks that this may be a great time to make her life hell as payback for sins committed. But then he finds he is banging himself stupid and her silly and vows to get his head back to important things since he loves getting off. But he could have sex anytime and anywhere and in any amount he needed but he wants it from Ambrosia. On her part Ambrosia hates three things: Chase Jett, neighbors having loud sex in the middle of the night and any form of Bratwurst. Chase Jett takes the cake in her hate list having taken her virginity all those years past. She would have loved to make jokes about the man but he is her new boss and who makes fun of a billionaire. It is not long before they both learn that their hate is not only banging hot, filthy and twisted, but also mutual.
“Stud in the Sacks” by Pippa Grant is a fascinating story of love. At the opening of the novel we are introduced to Knox Moretti who knows what women want and always gives it to them. Sexy, broody and dark? Yes ma’am, Desperate to get in the mood, he is your guy, Need to laugh, there is not one better. Every day when he opens his library there is usually a long line of women flocking to him as their next book boyfriend. He knows every book in the romance section and has used the knowledge to get plenty of action over the years. But he had miscalculated and now finds his job in danger. If he cannot conclusively prove to his boss that he is not using the job to get girls in his bed, he may just get himself fired. Things get interesting even when his job is on the line, as he meets Parker Elliot. She is a woman that does not know that she is a very sexy girl that any man would be lucky to have. All she needs is a temporary fake boyfriend and Knox is only too willing to oblige. It turns out that she is looking for someone to impress a client and once she saw Knox she knew he would be perfect. But soon enough, what they are doing does not seem so fake anymore.

She was never much of a drinker but when she drinks mead the national drink of Stolland she starts behaving crazy. Meanwhile, the lead singer of a band on its way to becoming a has been is in trouble. Dax Gallagher is known for his wild ways, gravelly voice, women chasing, tight hard body, drinking and tattoos. I’m really enjoying Rockaway Bride. Want to know if this is a series’s or a standalone book. Could not any book to follow?
Hi Rose – as listed above, it is part of the Girl Band series.
