Preston William Child is a South African bestselling author of thriller novels full of adventure and action. He made his debut when he first published “Ice Station Wolfenstein” the first of the “Order of the Black Sun” series of novels.
He published his debut in 2014 and has been self-publishing his works ever since. Child now has more than 90 works to his name across several series of novels that also include omnibuses.

In his novels, he has sometimes collaborated with other others that include Tasha Danzig, Matthew King, Fran Connor, Robert Conz, and Paul Hunter.

“Quest for the Holy Grail” by Preston William Child introduces Dr. Nina Gould a historian who has been visited by her stepbrother. It has been years since they had last been together and she could not have been happier to see him.
He has with him a hostage and needs Nina’s help in finding a man believed to have the Holy Grail. If they fail in that mission, her stepbrother might find himself implicated in a despicable murder spree that involved little boys.
Her investigation shows that the Perceval Chapter which was a unit of Allied soldiers, was the protector of the Grail in the North African Campaign of 1944, charged with ensuring the artifact did not fall into the hand of the Nazis.
With that information, she decides to team up with Sam Cleave, an investigative journalist that had been hired by Peter Carrol a retired police inspector to track down the man who had been killing little boys.

Upon comparing notes, they unearth a dire secret among some of the most elite of the Perceval Chapter. They also discover why the Holy Grail went missing following the end of the Second World War.

When David Purdue the Edinburgh billionaire and explorer invited the wrong people to a showcase of his rare private collection, He was subsequently attacked and left with a wound that would not heal. His condition starts to rapidly deteriorate he now needs the Holly Grail if he is to have hope.

Preston William Child’s “The Crypt of Cleopatra” continues to follow the life and times of Dr. Nina Gould. She had been expecting a break from her expeditions with the “Order of the Black Sun.”

However, it does seem that fate has other things in mind as she gets another offer from Egypt. She brings along David Purdue a long-time associate with her hoping to find the long-lost tomb of Cleopatra in Egypt.
Unfortunately, it does seem that Cleopatra was not buried alone as she had been laid to rest with Mark Anthony her lover and famous Roman who catches the eye of the nefarious Third Triumvirate.

The long-forgotten feud between Rome and Egypt is sparked once again and the race between the Third Triumvirate and Nina begins to see who will find the tomb first.

The battle for the tomb sees Purdue and Nina plunge into the Nile and contend with the sandstorms and fight for their lives against enemies that are determined to win at all costs.

It makes for a solid plot line with a pretty interesting concept. It is amazing the many different scenarios that Preston William Child comes up with. Purdue is more like an Indiana Jones but he is lucky to have resources and money too and this makes for a thought-provoking read.

“The Hunt for Hitler’s Secret Nazi Weapon” is another brilliant addition to the “Order of the Black Sun” series of novels.

At the opening of the novel, David Purdue finds himself on a hitlist but cannot determine the identity of his assailant and has to go on another important expedition.

As Dr. Nina Gould continues in her quest to maintain her position as the leader of the secret society, she looks to Sam Cleave and Purdue her oldest allies to assist her on her latest adventure.

She soon unearths a weapon of mass destruction that had been lost for tens of years since the two major wars. Paranoia and deception loom large for everyone even as alliances are forged and secret wartime alliances come to light.
Things might just come to a fiery end when Purdue notices that a bomber has been stalking him on his quest for the Black Sun.

From destructive encounters, shattered friendships, and assassination attempts, Sam, Nina, and Purdue need to get out of the expedition in one piece.

It makes for an adrenaline-pumping and riveting adventure that would equal the works of the likes of Alistair McClean and Clive Cussler.
