She can kill you with the expertise of a professional assassin, or seduce you so completely that you think that she is the woman you were destined to be with.

Tara is not reduced to solely working in the field now. She is British Intelligence’s newly-appointed head of Special Operations. No longer will be she assigned to dance with death in the field unless she wants to be. Tara’s entered into the world of international espionage, and just like that, all of the old rules are off of the table.

When a terrorist act hits London, Tara Chace will stop at nothing to track down those responsible. She’s on a mission to catch the terrorists and stop them before they strike again. in order to succeed, Tara is going to do whatever it takes, and the personal stakes have never been higher.

With no holds barred and all of the deadly skills that took her to the top, Tara is about to hit the old school way of doing business with a bang. They’re going to have to find out the hard way that spying isn’t just a man’s game anymore. When a woman can be as lethal as a bullet without a single weapon on her, then you better be worried.

Tara must form the counterstrike and be used as bait in order to become a special weapon that can only be used once. As Chace and a former mentor speed toward their destiny, Tara is beginning to question who is really calling the shots and who is the real enemy. While at a terrorist training camp located in the remote lands of Saudi Arabia, Tara must keep her eyes open for any sign of betrayal or trouble.

Regardless, Tara must obey her duty to her Queen and her country. What will happen in the adventures of this fearless femme fatale? You’re going to have to pick up the thrilling first installment of the Queen & Country series by Greg Rucka to find out!

Private Wars is the second book in the Queen & Country series by Greg Rucka. Rucka pushes the boundaries of suspense fiction to new highs in this exciting sequel to the first novel, A Gentleman’s Game. Heroine Tara Chace is back again in this electric tale of action and adventure.

Tara used to be the most dangerous woman alive, and now she’s increased her power because the international spy network believes her to be dead. Now she’s more of a threat than ever. But the only thing that could lure her back to the game would be a chance to clear her name.

The torture and the subsequent execution of Dina Malikov in Uzbekistan have had devastating effects. Her death has now set off a domino effect as others grab for power like children going after candy on the ground from a broken pinata. The country is strategically important, and it’s now Tara’s mission to go into the country unnoticed. Her goal: to get Dina’s husband and their young son out before they are killed by the pro-Western husband’s sister.

The sister is well-known for being ruthless, but Tara may have more on her side than you might think With a couple of wild cards holding her end down, she is ready to enter into hostile territory. Tara’s bringing with her a mobile weapons system to fight the war on terror on the ground. But in her line of work, betrayal is just as common as you might suspect, and it’s going to make carrying off this mission very difficult.

In a place where loyalty may be a weakness, and anyone can be a threat to you, every spy has to watch their own back. In Greg Rucka’s thrilling second Queen & Country installment, the thrills just keep on coming. This suspense series is so realistic and exciting and pushes the limits so far that you’ll be turning the page to see what happens next!
