With so much more to come, too, she continues to write as her career carries on, growing both onward and upwards in the following years to come.

Early and Personal Life

Born in 1966 on the 7th of May, Rachel Ann Nunes was born and raised in the city of Provo, Utah, in the United States. Learning to read when she was four, she would go on to begin writing during the seventh grade, really developing a love of literature over time. Refining her voice over time, she would establish her tone and style of writing as she would go on to nurture her craft.

Studying extensively, she would continue to write throughout her education, too, as she would create her own voice. Drawing inspiration from her own life, she would use her own experiences to help shape her many stories and material. Currently living with her husband TJ and their four girls and three boys, she continues to write regularly and consistently.

Writing Career

A lot of her writing is inspired by her Christianity, using it to help inform her faith prevalent throughout her work. The first book she would write was titled ‘The Making of a Queen’ published in 1996 and was also the first in the ‘Ariana’ series. In 2016 she would also write her first book under the pseudonym of Rachel Branton called ‘House Without Lies,’ which would also be the first in the ‘Lily’s House’ series of books.

Creating several series under her own name throughout the years as well, she would write a number of inspirational romantic franchises. In 2007 she would become a finalist for the Whitney Award with her novel ‘The Independence Club,’ cementing her reputation as one of the leading voices in her industry. With over three dozen books and counting, she’s also one of the most prolific authors in her genre too, as she goes from strength to strength.

Ariana: A Glimpse of Eternity

Initially brought out through the Bonneville publishing label, this would first come out in 1999 on the 1st of January. It would mark the end of the ‘Ariana’ series of novels, this being the fourth and final book in the series of romance novels. With elements of the Christian faith underpinning it, it’s a story and series looking at family, most notably the mother, Ariana.

For years Jean-Marc and Ariana Perrault have been raising their six children according to the teachings of the gospel. Now their three daughters, Marie-Thérèse, Josette, and Pauline, have been dealing with love and heartache, having come fully into adulthood. Facing their various different difficulties and hardships together, they must overcome them as a family, dealing with them as one. Will they be able to manage them all, can they overcome them, and what will become of Ariana as she gets a glimpse of eternity?

Dealing with some fairly serious themes and ideas, this story handles them with sensitivity and tact, really allowing their humanity to shine through. Finishing off the series, it’s definitely an emotional conclusion to what has been a highly regarded and epic series of novels. Each character has their own distinctive personality, making them feel wholly alive as they speak in a manner that really resonates.

Love to the Highest Bidder

First coming out through her own publishing outlet, this would originally arrive through the ‘Nunes Entertainment, LLC’ imprint. Coming out in 1999 on the 1st of May, this would be an entirely stand-alone romance novel with an entirely self-contained narrative. The story itself is not a part of any series, and it would feature a fun and entertaining story with many twists and turns.

As the chief head buyer for a top and highly prestigious art gallery, Cassi is based in California, while Jared, also a buyer, is in New York. Facing off against one another, they battle it out in an auction for an extremely expensive India Buddha statue dating back to the Kushan era. It also transpires that there are many others who want the statue, too, as Jared and Cassi work together, with their relationship soon moving into romance. Who will get to purchase it, though, can they keep it safe in the meantime, and what will become of them as they auction love to the highest bidder?

It’s a great early romance story from Nunes that’s easy to read with plenty of warmth and wit to it throughout, every step of the way. With strong, well-written characters at the heart of it, it’s a simple book to follow that keeps the reader constantly invested in the action. The story itself is a fun one with an inventive premise that’s both compelling and creative, clearly showing a writer who has a lot to offer.
