Live Girls is the first novel in the Davey Owen series. If you are looking for something new and interesting to read that features vampires, check this story out!
In this debut story, readers get to meet the main character of Davey Owen for the first time. He’s just a regular guy, except for the fact that he is down on his luck. Things have certainly been better at different points in his life, but right now he knows that he is just not coming out ahead.
A bad situation quickly becomes worse when he finds that he has not only lost his girl, but he’s lost his job as well. He never expected the whole of his life to just generally fall apart out of nowhere, but it appears that is what has happened. Now he’s just another average guy that is slowly doubting whether he is going to be able to hold onto his sanity.
The majority of his life just went down the tubes in the course of twenty-four hours, and now Davey is hurting. He just wants to get away from it all and find an escape from what has suddenly become a very depressing reality. Just a short while ago, he knew that he had a job that he could rely on and a girlfriend that he thought he could rely on. Now none of that is true.
Alone and in the mood to find some entertainment, Davey has no idea what he is in for. He just wanted to have a good time, but his quest to get away from it all may end up leading him into more dangerous paths than he was ready for. Some guys try to forget their worries by picking up a bottle and going to town.
That’s not what he is going to do. Besides, even alcohol probably couldn’t fix his problems. He thinks that instead of drinking, he might get more out of going into the nightlife of Times Square and truly escaping reality. Booze may not help, but he may be able to find some entertainment or at least take his mind off of things inside the notorious ‘Live Girls’ establishment.
He went for the dream but found a nightmare instead. When he runs into a strange woman, he is astonished at the way that she looks. There is nothing wrong with her; in fact, she is absolutely beautiful in his estimation. However, she is pale to the point that it stands out and he cannot help but notice it. He starts to get a little worried when it seems that she is not alone.
He just wanted to be able to go out and party a little bit. He never thought that going out and finding a little bit of fun would end him up in a situation like this. The woman that he meets appears to be offering him ecstasy and pure passion an pleasure. All of it is calling him to a world that is full of pleasure and fantasy.
What he may not realize is that the same thing he is feeling is also leading him into the tunnel of eternal life. Sometimes a kiss is not as simple as it seems. In this case, a passionate kiss from a strange woman is not only insatiable, but giving him immortality. All of this is in exchange for his soul, of course.
While he may no longer be in the same miserable life that he had before, he also is transported to a completely new place with demonic undertones. He may just find that this new state involves soul and body sacrifice beyond what he could ever imagine.
What will happen in the end? Has Davey lost his soul? Pick up this gritty and entertaining first novel in the series to find out!
Night Life is the exciting second novel in the Davey Owens series by Ray Garton. If you enjoyed reading the first book or liked the way that the story sounds, keep it going by checking out this second book in the series!
When it comes to life, Davey Owens may never look at things the same way again. In this case it may even be literally, because he has officially changed over from a human to a vampire. That’s right, he’s one of the creatures of the night.
It’s not easy being the undead, but Davey has settled into his new life. It’s been two decades since the turn, and all of it seems like a lifetime has passed since that happened.
He’s fought other vampires in New York and lived to tell the tale. Now forever changed. he knows that he never escaped that night truly. A lot of vamps were killed. The ones that got away have devoted themselves to tracking him down.
Davey knows that it’s only a matter of time before they hunt him down. Now he lives with Casey Throne in the city of Angels, but his quiet life may be disrupted by the vamps and their quest for revenge. Can Casey and Davey survive? Read this book to find out!
