Rebecca Brandewyne is a renowned American novelist, who likes to write historical romance, western romance, gothic, and paranormal romance stories. She has written several mind-blowing books and series in her career, including the Angular’s Fate series, Chronicles of Tintagel series, Chandlers of Highcliffe Hall series, Swan Road, Rose of Rapture, Heartland, etc. Brandewyne’s novels have fared very well in all the places of their publishing. They have helped her to establish herself as a noteworthy novelist of the romance genre. Author Brandewyne was born as Mary Rebecca Wadsworth on March 4, 1955, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She resided in Knoxville and Chattanooga for the initial few years of her youth life. Later, she relocated to Kansas with her family and grew up there. She used to spend her summers in Alabama and visit her maternal and paternal grandparents frequently.
Brandewyne considers herself a country girl with a liking for the big city life. She has traveled extensively throughout America and has visited places like Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe. Nowadays, she divides her time evenly between her hometown and New York’s publishing world. Brandewyne attended Wichita State University and graduated cum laude with a BA honors degree in journalism and a minor in music and history. She also holds a master’s degree in communications. When Brandewyne was pursuing her education, she had the chance to study under 3 Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists and other distinguished instructors on multiple occasions. She also had the opportunity to learn at one of interpersonal communication’s foremost authorities. Brandewyne thinks she was fortunate to have had such opportunities. Author Brandewyne has received the Victor Murdock Scholarship twice and has worked as a teacher of interpersonal communication at a university before she shifted her focus towards being a writer.
It was at the age of 21 that Brandewyne attempted to write her first book. She finished the writing part in one year and named it No Gentle Love. Warner Bros bought the publishing rights of the book and allowed Brandewyne to become the youngest author of the romance genre at 23. Her record remained intact for 10 years before it was broken by another young author. So far, Brandewyne has penned more than 30 consecutive bestselling books. Her novels and novellas have appeared on the bestselling lists of Publishers Weekly, LA Times, B. Dalton, Waldenbooks, NY Time, Magazine & Bookseller, USA Today, Ingram, and many others. There have been extensive translations of her novels into multiple foreign languages such as Dutch, German, Chinese, Hungarian, Czech, Italian, Korean, French, Greek, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Rumanian, Turkish, Spanish, and Swedish. Also, Brandewyne’s books have been published in more than 60 countries in the world. Many of them have been selected for Literary Guild and Doubleday Book Club.
The Hardback editions of some of Brandewyne’s books have been released by Severn House and the large print edition of a few books is available from Thorndike Press and Macmillan Library Reference. Currently, Brandewyne has millions of novels in print in America alone. Some of the prestigious literary awards won by author Brandewyne include the Classic Award, Golden Quill Award, Bronze Pen Award, Gold Certificate, Reviewer’s Choice Award, Reviewer’s Choice Certificate, Career Achievement Award, Novelist of the Year of Historical Romance, etc. Author Brandewyne has been labeled as one of the Leading Ladies of Love and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Romantic Times magazine. Before her marriage, Brandewyne lived in a large family. She has a younger sister. Brandewyne’s first marriage happened with Gary Brock. The couple has a son named Shane Brock. After her divorce from Gary Brock, Brandewyne’s second marriage happened with an English man named John Cox. She divorced him as well after a few years of marriage. As of today, Brandewyne resides in Knoxville with her young son.
A wonderful series penned by author Rebecca Brandewyne is known as the Chronicles of Tintagel series. It is comprised of a total of 2 books released between 1988 and 1991. The essential characters mentioned in this series include Ileana, Cain, Rhiannon, Iskander, etc. This series’ debut book is entitled ‘Passion Moon Rising’. It was released by Severn House in 1997 after its first release in 1988. The book opens by introducing Ileana as a cherished princess. She hails from a noble and brave land. Ileana is silver-haired, violet-eyed, beautiful, proud, and passionate and she is born with a rare destiny and a great gift.
Cain is described as a brave warrior prince. He defeated the danger that came to destroy him. Cain lives by his instincts and his courage. When Cain sees Ileana for the first time, he develops a desire to have her in his arms. As Ileana and Cain come close to each other, they share a wondrous and rich love that brings them to exquisite ecstasy. The second installment of this series is called ‘Beyond the Starlit Frost’. It was published in 1991 by the Pocket publication. This novel features Iskander and Rhiannon as the central character. Initially, Rhiannon is introduced as an orphaned huntress. She has been raised by strangers with great hearts. Rhiannon possesses flaming hair and topaz smoldering eyes. A fearsome gift in her possession waits to attain freedom. Iskander is depicted as having royal blood in his veins. He follows the quest for glory and duty. When Iskander and Rhiannon first came face to face, an instant union of their heart, mind, and body took place. Their joyous tempest was endlessly renewed and infinitely sated. However, the dazzling passion between Rhiannon & Iskander comes with a high price. Iskander’s mission drives them to the land of dark evil.
