Rebecca Royce was born in New York City but when she was just one year old her parents moved the family to New Jersey.
While she has lived n all manner of places since that time she now raises her family a few hundred meters from where she grew up.
In addition to her writing she has worked in real estate sales and as a teacher. In fact, she had previously done two years of law school before she decided that the legal profession was not for her.
She is now a married woman with three kids that she loves very much.
She published Banging the Superhero her debut novel in 2011 and has never looked back since. Royce now has more than a hundred works to her name and has shown no sign of stopping any time soon.
These days, Rebecca spends much of her time writing young adult, reverse harem science fiction, paranormal, and contemporary romances.
Royce sometimes communicates with her fans through the newsletter on her website where she regularly provides previews of upcoming novels.
During her teenage years, Rebecca Royce loved to hide in her room where she would read her favorite romances when she should have been completing her homework.
Romance fiction was always her favorite and since she studied English in college she would end up absolutely living Victorian fiction.
Nonetheless, she has always loved to read paranormal, fantasy, and science fiction works. She will usually use all of these elements in her writings.
Royce loves to think that she is a bloodthirsty author and hopes that her readers will enjoy the action-packed stories she tells.
She loves writing series given that there is nothing she likes better than seeing characters develop in personality over several novels.
In her world in which she can combine almost any genre with another, everything is possible and anything can happen.
When she is not writing her bestselling novels she can usually be found reading romances, going out to dinner, watching movies, and going to Broadway shows.
Rebecca Royce’s interest in romance was heightened when she was gifted Nora Roberts’ novel Honest Illusions. She would then steadily move through Harlequin romances and went on to fall in love with Johanna Lindsay and Amanda Quick.
Rebecca can still remember her first story that she wrote as a fifth-grader. The fantasy story was about designing a school for the future.
During this time she used to read a lot of the Sweet Valley Twins novels and hence many of her characters were crying and screaming rather than falling in love.
While she writes romances in all manner of subgenres, most of her work is classified as paranormal romance. This perhaps has to do with the fact that she grew up reading and watching science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal fiction and movies.
Even though she grew up on Star Trek, she was hooked when she read her first Christine Feehan work. Rebecca would become obsessed with everything in paranormal romance and would order tens of books every month from Amazon.
Some of the authors she read during this time included Carrie Vaughn, JR Ward, Marjorie K Liu, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lori Handeland, and Laurell K Hamilton.
Rebecca Royce’s novel Unconventional introduces Giovanna Amsel who is studying at a small liberal arts college. The Denberg University junior is the editor of the college’s Literary Magazine and is majoring in English.
She is not a terrible student but since she is dyslexic she has to work extra hard to keep up. For her parents, this means she is a huge disappointment. Her parents are brilliant researchers and professors that had very high expectations for their child.
When she failed to meet their unrealistic standards they made her an afterthought. Dumped in college, she finds herself all alone but has managed to survive so far.
While she is walking on campus devoid of humanity given that it is the Holiday break she meets a frat guy that calls her a library girl. Maven Stone barges into her life with his two frat brothers/best friends Banyan Iburgess and Chance Montgomery.
They open her eyes to new experiences and the world that had been happening all around her as they provide friendship, fun, and the possibility of a lot more.
Unexpected by Rebecca Royce is a compelling reverse harem romance that sees Giovanna back in college.
Banyan, Chance, and Maven have all gone back to their frat house. They had told her that nothing would change and that their relationship was not over.
They all want to continue being with her but when she steps into their frat house, one minute of the noise, the smell, and the crowd and she knows she wants nothing to do with their real life.
The rumors start to fly almost instantly and even though there is nothing she wants to do more than ignore the mean girls, standing out has never been her thing.
She hates attention and given the fact that she is failing chemistry and math and she is broke and her life could not be any worse. Even her best friend and her dorm room now feel strange.
The only time she feels normal is when she is working at the consignment as she has become familiar with the owners. She also likes it when she gets to spend some time with one or more of her new friends from the frat house.
But recently, they are not just her guys as they are in demand and she start thinking maybe she was just meant to always be alone.
Rebecca Royce’s novel Undeniable opens with Giovanna living halfway across the world from her harem miserable hurting and ignored by her parents.
But then she is reunited with her harem and soon enough they all realize that they no longer want to play by the rules set by their parents. They have something special together and are determined to make their own rules and be happy.
Even though a happily ever after seemed to be in sight, things are never that simple. They have to find some assurance of the future and still deal with the past.
They have to deal with personal baggage, a firebug roommate, and abusive parents making for a poignant and emotional story. While the boys initially looked like they were so well put together, it turns out that they are just very good at hiding their scars.
When they all come together with Giovanni they finally have a chance at healing and making a new beautiful family that is happier, stronger, and better together.
