Rhyannon Byrd is a well-known, national bestselling author from the United States of America, who loves to write novels in the romance genre. Byrd has written more than thirty erotic and paranormal novels. She has received a number of nominations for her work, including the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Awards for three times and the best Shape-shifter Romance. Byrd loves books, museums, beaches, music, good food, art and spending time with her family. The series was published as a set of eight different novels along with a bundle of the first three novels. A separate set of the sixth and the seventh novel were also published together later in 2014. Most parts of the series are set in Maryland, United States with a different set of characters in each novel. Usually, the main characters are depicted as going through initial hardships in their love life, which they finally overcome as the novels reach the climax.

The Bloodrunners Series written by Rhyannon Byrd consists of eight different novels published from 209 to 2015. The first novel of the series was titled ‘Last Wolf Standing’ and was published by the ‘Silhouette Books’ in the year 2009. The novel is set in Maryland, United States and revolves around the life of the central characters, Torrance Watson and Mason Dillinger. Mason is a werewolf, who goes crazy over the sweet scent of Torrance Watson, who is a human. It was known to him that a perfect woman was made for him and that he would find her in a bustling cafe. But still, the scent of Torrance Watson made him ignited with explosion and he he would desire to claim her. However, Mason knew that his pack will never allow him to marry Torrance as she did not belong to their race. T make the matters worse, a rogue werewolf had sensed the attraction of Torrance and was about to make her his prey. Mason was already on the hunt of this rogue werewolf and now he is forced to safeguard Torrance from this ruthless werewolf. Mason faced an ultimate challenge as the werewolf posed a great threat to his pack already. He is in a dilemma whether to save Torrance and marry her, which would mean a disloyalty to his pack and very few of his kind have survived this, or to save his clan and live an eternal life without having the love of his life. The novel was very well appreciated for its content showing explicit sex, bloody gores and profanity. The readers found it quite unique and interesting to read. One of the main reasons of its success was the way Byrd has done the character descriptions. She has given a touch of freshness to each and every character. All of them stand out uniquely. Fellow authors and critics found the novel very passionate and beautiful. They praised Byrd for her efforts and boosted her confidence to bring out a number of other interesting novels.

The second novel of the Bloodrunners Series was published under the title ‘Last Wolf Hunting’ in the year 2009 by the Silhouette Books. The plot of this novel is set in Shadow Peak, Maryland, United States and revolves around the lives of the main characters, Jillian Murphy and Jeremy Burns. Jeremy Burns is depicted as a werewolf whose only mission is to send the rogue assassins to hell. But, after seeing Jillian Murphy after a decade, he was not able to ignore his desires for her. He believed that Jillian belonged to him, by the rights of nature. Yet, the two lovers had faced fate and fear to be against them in their youth previously and had forced Jeremy to stay away from his pack, on the hunt of rogue werewolves. However, this time Jeremy and Jillian sense the betrayal that can destroy the stability of their pack, and they need to join forces in order to prevent this from happening. When they are done with this, Jeremy is once again not going to let go off Jillian as he thinks that she belongs to him forever and that she is the one Jeremy needs the most in his life. He decides that he will let Jillian know about his feelings for her and not lose for the second time. The novel became highly successful among the readers just like the first one. Once again Rhyannon Byrd depicted great characters and a wonderful story line. The success of the novel helped her to establish herself among the noted writers of the paranormal romance genre. The novel went on to sell a number of copies worldwide. It was even translated in more than nine languages across the world. The readers found it interesting to read till the very end with its exciting twists and turns. People even termed it as sexy, dangerous and magical, filled with modern romance and fantasy.
