This is something that’s proven to be hugely successful for him, as not only has he gained numerous awards, but he’s reached audiences around the world. Writing both short and long fiction, his work is a testament to the sheer scope and scale of his imagination, really bringing each story to life.

Taking his readers on a journey, his writing really brings his worlds and stories to life, as they’re both rich and expansive. Also known for writing numerous comic-book series, he writes in both and engaging and compelling manner that keeps the reader turning the page. Effectively becoming a household name for many, he’s admired in many quarters, bringing a different voice and style to the genre. Drawing inspiration from numerous other contemporary sources in his field, he brings his own creative and unique perspective.

The characters that he writes are also extremely well established, as they feel as if they’re wholly real people upon the page. Staying with the reader long after they’ve finished the novel, each of his protagonists are very well drawn with multiple layers. All of this works to ensure that his readers continually come back for more time and time again, as he continues building his audience. This is going to continue for a long time to come, as he will carry on writing, well on into the foreseeable future.

Early and Personal Life

With a keen interest in both reading and writing from an early age, the future author to be Rio Youers would always be committed to all things literature. This would continue to develop throughout the intervening years, allowing him to gradually evolve his style and tone. In turn a large number of books would come from all of this as he would become a highly prominent and much sought after novelist.

Always looking for inspiration from the world around him, he’d continually be on the lookout for his next big idea. With an extremely visual and vivid style, he’d appeal to countless readers from all over, making a name for himself quite unlike any other. Still writing to this very day, there’s definitely a lot more planned to be released in the near future, as his writing career carries onwards and upwards.

Writing Career

The fist full novel that Rio Youers would publish was titled ‘End Times’ and it would come out back in 2007 to an eager audience. Prior to this he would write the novella ‘Ellie’s Boy’ in 1999, which would be an early introduction for him into the world of literature. He wouldn’t write any series, as he tends to focus more on individual novels and self-contained story based narratives.

He’s also worked on a comic-book series which would be based on the work of none other than bestselling author Stephen King. This would be called ‘Sleeping Beauties’ and it would effectively build upon the story, while also furthering both his brand and his profile. Winning lots of awards and nominations, he’s been nominated for a Sunburst Award, and a British Fantasy award, making him a highly popular novelist.

End Times

First published in 2007, this would be the first full novel to come from Rio Youers as a fully fledged author and writer. It would also be illustrated by Vincent Chong, who would create some extremely vivid and elaborate designs for the book. Establishing Youers as a writer for the very first time, this does well to introduce him, setting up who he is and what has to offer readers.

Combining fantasy with inner turmoil, this is an extremely intriguing and engaging novel that keeps the reader thinking. There’s a lot of imagination to it, as it features multiple layers of meaning constantly throughout at each and every page turn. This makes for an extremely effective contemporary fantasy novel that really pushes its subject matter to the full limit.

Recovering from his dark and turbulent past, Scott Hennessey is an ex-addict looking to turn his life around and begin afresh. That’s when he meets Mia Floats Softly in the rain, and then all the memories of his own past come flooding back to him. Seeking to destroy him, he heads off on a journey across the world, and he must destroy the power of desire that has a hold on him for the last time. Will he ever be able to manage it? Can he possibly hope to make any kind of difference in his life? What will happen as he faces end times?

Lola on Fire

This would be a later book from Rio Youers, initially published in 2021 on the 16th of February through the William Morrow publishing label. A crime drama, it’s filled with plenty of action and excitement, keeping the reader constantly guessing throughout as to what’s coming next. It’s a stand-alone and wouldn’t be a part of any series either, in what is both an accessible and highly entertaining novel. There’s so much here and it really comes to life off the page, as it features not only tension and suspense, but well written characters too, where everyone feels grounded and real.

Desperate to buy the medication that his sister requires, Brody Ellis robs a nearby convenience store, only to lose his wallet on the way out. Picking it up, Blair Mayo uses it as leverage to get Brody to steal back her mother’s diamonds from her evil stepmother. When Brody turns up for the job he finds himself at a crime scene framed for a murder, and now Blair’s father, the mobster Jimmy Latzo, is out seeking revenge. Will Brody and his sister Molly be able to escape the vengeance? Can Brody break free from this terrible ordeal? What will become of Lola on fire?
