Sex and the Single Vamp
We meet a character named Cici, who owns a matchmaking company specializing in matching humans with superhumans. Some of her clients end up dead, and the cops suspect that she is the person behind the killings.
To get herself proven innocent and allow her business to thrive again, she asks for help from Deacon. He owns a security firm, and the two have previously worked together. Deacon is the only man who can get her out of this situation, but on the condition, she spends the entire night in his bed, and Cici agrees to the offer.
This novel is perfect for anyone who enjoys reading romance involving humans and the supernatural. The conflict in the story is apparent and well developed, with the heroine firmly believing in the happily ever after while the hero only thinks sex is the only thing that matters.
He promised Cici’s father always to protect her and has kept tabs on her for years. She becomes furious with him after discovering that he’s been stalking her almost her entire life, but after all, she needs his help. however, that does not mean she will put up with his alpha ways. she is fit enough to fend for herself, she is self proctective, fierce, and does not torelate anything bad from Deacon.
As a matter of fact, the two fought together in the second world war as American spies.
The characters in the story are solid and likable. Cici is a strong independent woman, and even though Deacon expresses his alpha traits, it’s clear that he respects her. He is both protective and possessive and treats her as an equal and someone capable of solving her own problems.
The story packs a lot of character development as well as plot twists. It is fast-paced, sexy, and fun to read. The main characters, Cici and Deacon, are likable and easy to connect with, and the span of this 200-year is completed is satisfying.
Playing the Part
We meet Piper, an author whose novel has been adapted for the big screen and has requested help from one of the best Hollywood stars to brief her on his romantic side.
Being the only last chance for Piper to prove to her publishers that she’s capable of maintaining a professional demeanor, the only problem along the way is that she never expected to fall crazy in love with her subject.
Mick is a man who always makes sure that every woman he meets gets to fall in love with her, and when Piper doesn’t seem to follow the same trail, he gets ready to pull the strings. He knows very little about her past, so he suggests some sexual playtime with her on the condition that they stay out of public watch.
But as they try their luck, they soon realize that their connection is more than a physical one. But when they find themselves in the spotlight, will what they have together survive the public eye?
Robin Covington does a fantastic job weaving a romance novel with two strong characters willing to do whatever it takes to achieve what they want. Piper is a strong independent heroine, and Mick is a handsome alpha. The sex scenes in the story are smoking hot, making this book a perfect summer-season read.
Mick is a sexy playboy who is an absolute darling underneath it all. He is careless about his career at first, but besides that, he is the perfect alpha package. He is handsome, sweet, romantic, and good at his job. And even though it appears that Piper started as a “challenge” for him, he cares about her needs, feelings, and career and does anything in his power to make sure she gets whatever she wants.
On the other hand, Piper is such a strong heroine. Robin Covington portrays her as a little bit crazy, which is okay because most women are. Unfortunately, she has to deal with a scummy- boyfriend and her freaking out is quite understandable.
The author neatly portrays her situation; she has had to fight to prove to us she was not some crazy psycho to her publisher, friends, etc. despite all this, she tries to keep her composure as best as she can, maintaining her close friendship and working hard to achieve her goals.
You will immensely enjoy their romance and most of the time they spend between the sheets. Robin Covington is able to craft the erotic scenes beautifully while at the same time maintaining a romantic feel to them.
His Convenient Husband
Isaiah Blackwell, an NFL football player, lost his marriage a few years ago and is now responsible for raising their teenage son alone. He tries to maintain as much of a low profile as his profession will allow while playing ball to provide for his family. When a mutual acquaintance connects him to Victor, a touring main ballet dancer who embodies everything Isaiah is not, his calm life is upended.
Victor Aleksandrovsk is bold and outspoken, and he recently applied for asylum status to escape going back to Russia, where homosexual men are harassed and targeted. Since he has spoken strongly for LGBT rights in his native country, returning to Russia would be fatal.
Their one-night encounter develops into a shaky bond that they both realize will only last until Victor is turned down for asylum. Although Isaiah can’t promise Victor a happily forever, he can suggest marriage to keep Victor in the USA and safe. He simply does not anticipate his new hubby dancing off with his heart.
