Ready to Were

Ready to Were the first book in Shift Happens series narrates a story of a woman named Essie who works for Werewolf Treaty Federation. She left her home one year ago to do this job after she discovered that Hank, the man she wished to spend her lifetime with, was having some affair with three other women at the same time. She had moved on with no plans of getting back to him and trains to be a very successful agent with paranormal advice and finds an extraordinary gay vampire friend.

While Essie is recovering from the heartbreak, she sent back in her home town to do a job of finding women who have started disappearing back in that area. Everyone around her home is aware of her business, and she is not able to avoid her past scandal. She travels with her super sexy gay vampire who loves wearing nice shoes. Her ex-boyfriend is the werewolf leader, and she has to work with him. Hank seems to have no idea of the reason that made her leave him and needs answers from her since he needs her back. Essie is confident and is determined to find the missing weres from the island, and she does not intend to have an intimate relationship with her ex.

Bobby sue, Essie’s old loving grandma is an ex-stripper and still enjoys her life and offers her granddaughter some nipple-less bras which she used to were before.

. Dwayne, the gay vampire, is a fascinating character who is very brilliant and could start telling a story then stop leaving you wondering what happened to his life. The author successfully blends the smoking shifters, paranormal and vampires with great humor making a wonderful story. The novel is funny and leaves you laughing as you read it. The story is narrated from Essie’s point of view. Ready to Were easy to read novel since it is not deep and has no twists, but it is very entertaining.

Some Were In Time

Some Were in Time is the second book in the Shift Happens series. It begins as Essie and Hank are on a secret mission given by Essie’s employer at the Werewolf Treaty Federation to find out how the werewolf council and the dragons are connected. Earlier they had unveiled and broken up the crossbreeding experiments of the dragons with the help of Dwayne, the gay vampire and also her best friend Dwayne, and her grandmother, Boby Sue. But it seems that there is someone who doubts that they will not survive the fights against the dragons. Dwayne informs them on his plans of making some amends on the Were cows soon they find them.

Essie’s life is becoming crazier after getting back to a relationship with Hank. They have a List of things to do including planning for their wedding, dealing with vamp drama and Were cow. All she thinks of is to getting married to Hank, have beautiful babies and live happily after that. She still wants to be shooting some stuff regularly. They make some new friends during their mission who might be of help in the future.

She does not seem bothered about the cost of the flowers and cakes; all she is thinking is who the hell thinks that she would survive and wants her buried six feet underground. She believes that with the help of Hank and some of the new friends on their side they will win the battle of finding out who is behind the plan of her death and then get back to planning for their wedding.

Some Were in Time is entertaining, full of charm, humorous dialogue with interesting characters and some awesome Weres. The characters adventure in the Were world is fun and entertaining. The story is narrated in Essie’s point of view, and there are also great lessons you can learn. The plot is good with some twists and turns and a lot of actions within the book. The paranormal mystery has lots of laughter and romance which make you laugh loud when flipping pages. Many questions brought up in the first book are answered in this book.
