Roxanne St. Claire is a NY Times and USA Today bestselling American writer of romance, suspense, and contemporary stories. She has written more than 50 novels in her career and is particularly famous for writing the Bullet Catcher series, Guardian Angelinos series, Barefoot Bay Universe series, The Dogfather series, and the Barefoot Bay series. Additionally, Roxanne has written numerous standalone books and a couple of young adult books. Author Roxanne is a one time recipient and 10-time winner of the prestigious RITA Award from the RWA. She has also won the National Readers’ Choice Award in the category of the best romantic suspense 4 times. The other prestigious awards won by her include the Holt Medallion, Book Buyers Best, Daphne Du Maurier, Maggie Award, Award of Excellence, Booksellers Best, and several others. Roxanne’s novels have been translated into more than a dozen foreign languages and one of them has also been adapted into a movie. Throughout her writing career, Roxanne has been associated with different publishers.

A few of her books have been published under the pen name of Rocki St. Claire. Everyone close to her often refers to her as Rocki and she also likes the name very much. The origin of the name dates back to her being too small and scrawny at the time of her birth, which is why people started calling her by that name. Roxanne was brought up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was the youngest among 5 siblings. She fell in love with stories and words at a very young age after she came across Gone With The Wind. On her 12th birthday, her parents gifted her a typewriter that came with the feature of italic font and Roxanne loved it very much. From that day onwards, she has been pounding out interesting love stories and has found a true love for writing. On the suggestion of her English teacher, Roxanne first tried to get a real job before establishing herself as a full-time writer. Following her graduation from UCLA with a communications degree, she tied her hand at acting and TV broadcasting. Roxanne learned it the hard way that they are not real jobs.

Author Roxanne’s real surname is Zink and she changed it to St. Claire on the advice of a news producer, who told her that her real name didn’t suit the job of a TV reporter. In between, Roxanne got some acting gigs and even indulged in on-camera work. The highlight of her acting and broadcasting career is meeting Tom Hanks on one occasion. When no concrete work seemed tom come her way, Roxanne decided to move to Boston. She joined the corporate world and starting from the bottom-most rung, she climbed the ladder of the corporate world all the way up to the position of the Senior Vice President of a big PR firm. While still at work in PR, Roxanne met and married the man of her dreams. As her husband’s surname was an unpronounceable Italian name, she chose to stick with her own surname.

Roxanne relocated to Miami with her loving husband and got blessed with a boy and a girl. All this while, she was writing only for fun. One fine day, Roxanne read a fabulous romance book and made up her mind to write something that would make others happy the way she felt happy after reading that book. Roxanne finished her first manuscript and found a good literary agent, who helped her sell her second manuscript to a leading publishing company that released the manuscript under the title of Tropical Getaway in 2003. This gave an unexpectedly successful beginning to her career. Since then, Roxanne has penned over 50 more titles in multiple genres. After the release of her first few novels, she gave up her corporate career to focus full time on her writing interests.

Recently, Roxanne moved to a Florida and lives in a beach community with her beloved husband, two kids, and a couple of dogs. Her kids have grown up to go to college, which gives her a lot of time to try different things. When Roxanne is not writing, she can be found hanging out with her husband, trying her hand at gourmet cooking, being in the company of her writer friends, and visiting the church with her children. Roxanne also loves to read a lot. She hopes to write 100 books in her lifetime at least.

A popular romantic suspense series written by author Roxanne St. Claire is known as the Bullet Catcher series. It is comprised of a total of 8 novels and 8 novellas released between 2005 and 2010. Each book of this series revolves around a group of security specialists and bodyguards run by an ex-CIA agent named Lucky Sharpe. The books actually contain standalone stories, but many characters are seen re-appearing in other books of the series. The debut book is entitled ‘Kill Me Twice’. It was released in 2005 by Pocket Books. The main characters of this book include Alex Romero and Jasmine Adams. Roxanne has set this story in Miami, Key West, and other places. Initially, Alex Romero is introduced as the hottest security specialist in the business. He is tall, dark, handsome, and deadly. Alex possesses all the traits of being an able bodyguard. He is set to prove his worth as The Bullet Catcher in his next assignment. Jasmine Adams is described as a fearless and independent private investigator. She does not need the help of a security specialist to take down the pervert stalking her sister. But, when things begin to go out of hand, Alex comes to her rescue and in the process, falls for her beauty. Jasmine also develops feelings for the handsome hunk.

The second installment of this romantic suspense series is entitled ‘Thrill Me to Death’. It was also published by the Pocket Books publication in 2006. The central characters depicted in this book include Cori Cooper and Max Roper. Max is seen as a former DEA agent and current recruit to the team of Bullet Catchers. Due to the tragic death of his fiance’s father in a shooting, she left him never to return to him again. But, their fates cross paths again when Max is given the task of protecting a recently-widowed heiress in his next mission, who turns out to be his former fiance Cori Cooper. Since parting ways with Max, Cori has found a luxurious lifestyle for herself after marrying a billionaire. However, the sudden death of her husband forces her to hire a bodyguard and throws her in the arms of the same man who gave her the deepest sorrow. Seeing Max after a long time ignites a passion inside Cori and tempts her to forgive him. Max, who is focused on keeping Cori safe from a deadly killer, also expresses his desire to get back with her.
