Ruth Saberton is a best selling romance novelist that is best known as the author of “Polwenna Bay” series of novels.

She knew that she was destined to be an author ever since she was a child. During this time, she was more interested in filling notebooks with tales rather than worshiping Duran and Waham as other kids her age. As she grew older, she became even more interested in romance novels.

She published “Katy Carter Wants A Hero,” her debut novel of the “Katy Carter” series in 2010 and has never looked back since. She now has more than two dozen novels and novellas to her name.

Her debut novel got a nomination for the Romantic Comedy of the Year Award by the Romance Novelists Association. Meanwhile, “Heat Magazine” compared the author to Bridget Jones.

Ruth currently writes under several pseudonyms including Lucy Hepburn, Jessica Fox, Holy Cavendish, and Georgie Carter.
Even though she was born and raised in the United Kingdom she now makes her home in the Caribbean from where she writes her novels.

As a child, Ruth Saberton dreamed of becoming an author as she wrote stories about ponies and forced her mother and father to read them. As a fourteen year old, she found Jilly Cooper and it was this moment that she knew writing was her destiny.

She wrote historical bodice rippers that filled two arch folders before she shifted to writing shorter contemporary novels. Ruth wrote the manuscript for her first novel in less than six months and looking back she knows that it was not up to scratch.

It was during this time that she started sending out inquiries and collecting an impressive packet of rejection letters. She was on the verge of giving up when she met the author EV Thompson who encouraged her to never give up.

Encouraged by the words of her mentors, she decided that she would never give up and it was not long before she published her debut. The manuscript would be her biggest break as it got the attention of several literary agents.

Once she had one title published, everything followed on from there.

While Ruth Saberton was born and raised in London she currently makes her home in Polperro. She likes Polperro since she gets to enjoy the inspiration of local legends and taking in the breathtaking views.

Saberton set her first novel in Cornwall in the United Kingdom and was lucky enough that Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley, who are local celebrities, came across her novel. As local TV celebrities, they thought it was a great book and submitted it to several places which made it go viral across the UK.
She attributes her publishing success to the magic of Cornwall as it is a leveling country where fishermen and celebrities mingle in the bars and where people are more interested in village life than in celebrity gossip.

Ruth has said that she finds Cornwall a place where holidays and dreams come together to create some beautiful memories. Combining a sprinkling of colorful characters, a dash of artistic license and a pinch of imagination her novels practically pen themselves.

Ruth Saberton’s novel “Runaway Summer” introduces Summer Trelawne, an actress living in London after leaving Polwenna Bay, where she was brought up. She tries hard to never look back as she doesn’t want to remember the heartbreak that she had to endure, when she was let down by her childhood sweetheart Jake.
All she remembered of Polwenna Bay is nothing but pain. But then she is forced to go back there when an unpredictable relationship puts all she loves and worked for in jeopardy.

Jake Tremaine is a huge sucker for travel but always finds himself going back to the small town he grew up in. He likes taking care of his younger siblings and while at it, he also runs the family marina. For Jake, the most important thing that he should be working on should be rescuing the family business.
Still, he is getting distracted by the daughter of a rich hotelier named Ella who wants to get under his sheets and into his affections. With the holiday season on the horizon, seaside life is gathering pace and Jake believes Summer could be hiding something from him. But she may not be the only person with some secrets.

“A Time for Living” by Ruth Saberton asks if there is a right time for love. The lead in the novel is Morwenna Tremaine, a feisty horsewoman who has seen success as attending a three day event rider.

Tremaine has no inclination or time for love and even if she remotely did, she would never be with a man who embodies everything she holds in contempt.
On the other hand is a man hiding beneath a determined and tough exterior. But underneath all his bravado, Ashley Carstairs the businessman is harboring a dark secret. It is a secret that may just upend everything he values and holds dear.

He knows that his current heading will only land him in trouble but he cannot stay away from the only woman in the world he should probably keep at arms length.

With the tricking sands of time gathering speed and autumn nights drawing in, emotions run roughshod over them and Mo can no longer control herself. Just what is her lover hiding as she is sure there is more to him than meets the eye.

Ruth Saberton’s novel “Winter Wishes: introduces a woman with a mission in the person of Tara Tremaine. She is trying to rebuild her life after it was broken to pieces following her separation from Danny, her husband.

She will never let anything stand in her way even if it is his growing feelings for another woman or the dark secret that has driven a wedge between them. Since she arrived in Polwenna Bay Jules Mathison has worked very hard as he placed his work above everything else.

She loves living by the sea and has a secret crush on Danny Tremaine. When Tara, his ex wife, comes back to town, Jules knows that the right thing to do is step away even if it hurts her a lot. His world has been blown to pieces and ever since his wife abandoned him, as he was left all alone to rebuild his broken heart and a broken body.

Danny is fairly certain that his friendship with Jules could turn into more but it could also result in him losing everything he loves and values. With the holidays fast approaching, Tara, Danny and Jules share long cherished dreams and dark secrets.
