Early and Personal Life
Born in Summerville, Georgia, in the United States, Hunt would grow up with a strong fascination in literature and writing. Developing this throughout the years, she would would come to find her voice as an author, refining what it was that she wanted to say. Joining the army in 2005 following a brief period in the military police before quickly moving on, she would train as a transportation coordinator.

This would take her to Afghanistan, where she was stationed in Camp Arena, Herat, before being promoted to specialist. Then taking position as Lieutenant in the command room that was joint Italian-Spanish, she would go on to coordinate hundreds of missions and convoys. She now writes full-time, something that she continues to do from her home in Petoskey, Michigan, with more to follow on the horizon.

Writing Career
Starting with the title ‘The Whirlwind in the Thorn Tree’ in 2013, this would not only start the literary career of Hunt, but would also begin her much loved franchise ‘The Outlaw King.’ This would allow her to make her name, essentially combining the fantasy and horror genres, making for something quite different in the process.

Bringing out the first of her Malus Series in 2015, Hunt would debut her new and well received fantasy novels with ‘Burn the Dark.’ This would be the first in her ‘Malus Domestica’ series of novels, two of which would follow on being released later that same year. Publishing ‘I Come With Knives’ and ‘The Hellion,’ she would further make a name for herself, building upon the world she created before. Winning awards, such as the 2014 ‘Independent Novel of the Year’ in Reddit’s r/fantasy Stabby Awards, she has fast become a well recognized name, and will continue to grow in the years to come.

Ten Thousand Devils
Originally published through the Madman Press publishing label, this would first come out in 2014 on the 30th of November. It would also mark the third title in ‘The Outlaw King’ series of books as well, continuing many of the themes and ideas from before. Building upon the world essentially, it brings in plenty of new elements, while also maintaining the strong tone from the previous novels.

Clearly inspired by Stephen King’s Dark Tower series from the outset, this very much becomes its own thing as the stories progress. Introducing a lot of dark themes and ideas into the world, it manages to tackle some much darker subject matter along the way. With strong characters and an interesting set-up, this book really works on multiple levels, providing something new and different in the process.

With The Fellowship being fractured once more, Ross, along with two others, have managed to slip through the veil back into the realm of Earth. Now they must attempt to stop a Silen looking to commit a school shooting that is set to take place at Blackfield University. Meanwhile Noreen is fighting to survive back on Destin, as the past of Normand returns once more, and Sawyer must embrace his calling as a gunslinger. Will they be able to prevent the tragedy from unfolding? Can they make amends with the past? What will become of the ten thousand devils?

The Hellion
Combining horror and fantasy, this would be the third book in the ‘Maluse Domestica’ series of novels, with it carrying on from the previous two with another adventure. Telling a dark and foreboding story in of its own too, it carries on in a similar vein to before, while also providing some twists and turns of its own. Initially coming out through the Tor Books publishing label, this would first be released on the 15th of September in 2020, marking another interesting and compelling adventure. Dealing with some tough subject matter once more, there’s plenty here to keep readers engaged and entertained in equal measure.
Dealing with witches all across the country, Robin Martine has managed to confront Andras, one of the toughest demons that she’s faced so far. During this battle she also had to deal with herself, and now, along with her boyfriend Kenway, the two of them head out to the rural Texas desert, where they hope to explore themselves further. It is there lurking in Keystone Hills she’s faced with Santiago Valenzuela; an individual who wields his power over his wife and daughter, and Robin must deal with this shape-shifter. Will she be able to manage it and get out alive? Who will they find in the Texas desert? What will become of the Hellion?
