S M Soto
S M Soto is a romance, suspense and chick-lit writer known for her deeply moving and relatable love stories. She considers herself a romance junkie, and if her collection is anything to go by, she is a lot more than that. Some of Soto’s writing comes with heart-wrenching stories, but love helps the victims overcome in the end. Soto was born in Northern California, and that is where she currently lives with her son. She is happy to interact with her fans and hear what they have to say about her stories.

Deception and Chaos
Deception and Chaos is the first book in the Chaos series. The story features Sophia Cova, a 24-year-old who is thrown into what feels like a bad dream. Sophia’s life is shadowed in Sadness since her parents died in a tragic plane accident when she was thirteen. Sophie’s brother Garret raised her, and so far, he is the only constant in her life. She has no friends, likes to keep to herself, and works two jobs in between her classes. Despite the heartaches, Sophie is sure that she destined for greatness. All is going according to plan until Sophie is violently taken from her mundane and orderly life.

Sophie is drugged, and when she wakes up, she is confined in a grimy basement with just one rancid mattress for comfort. Here different men come and go, and the beatings Sophie has to endure never stop. To preserve her dignity, Sophie completely zones out of her current situations and hides in the security of her mind. Sophie has already lost track of time when she hears the word she has been dreading. She has been sold. On the eve of her bidding, something unusual happens. Sophie could hear screams and gunfire in what she considers the mansion of horrors. She panics, and the mayhem that follows does nothing to calm her. It is almost unbelievable that Sophie is being saved from a life of misery.

It is at this point when lies are uncovered, great love is found, and two soulmates find their way into each other’s hearts. Creed turns into Sophia’s savior, and the chemistry between these two lovebirds is electrifying. Sophia feels that she is loved, but over time, she will learn that nothing is what it seems. Her current sense of security is all smoke and mirrors. Sophie is in the middle of a twisted game, and the Puppeteer will pull his desired string whenever he wants to brew some chaos. More lives are lost, and there is no telling just how long this game will continue.

Deception And Chaos is a type of romance story with a darker and twisted side. The book is bloody and chaotic and involves kidnapping and torture before rescuing. Sophia will find herself falling for the devil, and there is plenty of naughtiness involved before the truth comes to light. This is a gripping story that will have you hooked from the start. Throughout the tragic events that follow, you will not stop reading as the rising tension will keep you turning the pages. The ending is epic and nothing like what you would expect. The descriptions are so vivid, and the author does a wonderful job of creating believable characters you will care about long after you are done reading the story.

Ache
Ache tells the story of Bea Norwood, a young lady whose life takes a dramatic change to the dark side. Bea’s life is drama free for a while. She has a single-mom friend who also doubles as her partner in crime. This means that there is someone to always confide in. All these changes when Bea’s mother remarries. First, Bea’s step-father comes with a son, so now she has to share a life with a step-brother. Thanks to the unexpected changes and her step-brother’s strange behavior, Bea finds solace out of the house. Fortunately, her friend’s cousin, Liam, is the neighborhood, and he has a way of making Bea feel better.
Bea and Liam’s relationship grow into the most beautiful love story. However, Liam has to leave at some point, and this breaks Bea’s heart. For six years, Liam is gone from Bea’s life before he decides it’s time to go back to Lakeport. It is time to reconnect with the only woman he has ever loved. Liam is surprised to find a completely different Bea. The once bubbly girl is now just a shell, and there is no doubt that something traumatic drove her to this point. Under her baggy clothes, Liam knows that the woman he loves exists; all he has to do is find her. Bea’s situation breaks Liam’s heart, and he vows to do everything possible to discover the truth. Well, the truth is nothing like Liam expected, and it breaks his heart into a million pieces.
Bea is one strong woman. While she is broken, Bea finds a reason to continue living every day as it comes. This story is more of a wake-up call that such situations exist. Some women have walked in Bea’s shoes, and their lives end in tragedy. Liam is a great young man. He is patient, loving, and devoted. While he makes mistakes just like the rest of us, Liam works hard to fix them. In short, he is what every woman needs in her life. It is beautiful how he comes to Bea’s life determined to change her life for the better.

The ache is a story of love. It is not sweet, but it involves a love that doesn’t give up. As the title suggests, this story will leave you with a dull ache in your heart. This book will also make you think about the effects of psychological trauma. It is sad to see what the victims are subjected to, especially when the people surrounding them are not keen to notice when something is wrong. This story reads so real and raw, and its beauty lies in its honesty and depiction of growth. Through the tears, there is something to look forward to. This is also a story of hope. For those with similar experiences, it is possible to climb out of despair.
