Fragile Things
Fragile Things is the first installment in Folkestone Sins series. The novel features Stella, who’s been alone for more than two years after her mother went missing. She has gone a rough life in her young age, being abandoned at a tender age and moving from one foster home to another. She has never had a real family, and not to mention she has no clue of her family history.

She stays on her own doing a simple waitress job and living in an apartment with her scanty essentials until someone delivers a package at her doorstep one morning. Inside the package is a wooden box, and inside it, she finds a note addressed to her promising to answer the disturbing questions. The letter is an invitation to visit her remaining family member, her mother’s sister living in California.

She decides to go hoping that she could get the answers. Paying the visit means having to board a plane and going to a place she has never stepped a foot on. However, this doesn’t stop her, and she decides to go on the adventure, where she later gets more than she bargained for. She goes to the airport, and just when she is leaving the airport bathroom, she hits a firm chest and realizes that it belongs to the attractive man she’s ever met.

Their eyes are both filled with lust, and one thing leads to another after sharing a random and spicy kiss. While at her aunt’s place, she enrolls in a new school, and the first thing she notices is the charming guy from the airport. It happens that he’s one of the heirs of the town they’re staying and his name is Poe. He seems to be so much attracted to Stella but tries to convince himself out of it.

There are so many secrets hidden in the founding families of Folkestone, some of which will break hearts while others make one stronger. The town is full of crazy people, some of which are too close than one may think.

Stella wasn’t supposed to meet Poe, and their accident meeting changed their lives. She gets a chance to start living in her aunt’s place, which took her to her past life covered by the sins of people she doesn’t even know. Even though Poe and Stella met by mistake, they are still attracted to each other and now have to find a way to clean up the mess.

Stella Bradleigh is a strong heroine each one would like to be. She’s giving a shot to the journey of the new life she has started. She doesn’t entertain nonsense, and she is a badass character and a fighter. Poe is shocked that Stella came into the new town and changed everything for him.

When Poe finds himself cruel to Stella, he feels guilty and remorseful. Since then, he got a deep soul and an emotional consciousness that is refreshing. Despite her sad story, Stella isn’t bitter or hostile to him. She’s so strong and got uncertainty and vulnerability in her.

When Stella left her home to look for answers from her aunt, she knew that it wouldn’t be a smooth road, and she was determined to do whatever it took. In this debut book, there are mysteries in every corner of the story. The drama is impeccable, and you can’t help but crave to find out what will happen next.
There are many secrets, and you’ll do nothing but empathize with Stella. Poe and Stella’s chemistry was intense and entertaining, even though it ended explosively. The cliffhanger ending will leave the reader heart pounding.

Stella is a female lead character who learned how to look after herself at a very young age, and at this point, nothing is challenging for she can’t do to survive. Poe is the lead male character whose only intention in high school is to enjoy life before starting a job assigned to him by birth.
However, his attitude and perspective gradually begin to change after meeting Stella. Their connection feels so special to them, and the reader will do nothing but admire them.

For readers who love nicely written characters where each of them shines and a story full of intrigue and badass heroine who can take care of themselves, this is a perfect book. The story flows so well fleshed out by the amazing characters making the reader flip pages to the end.
Fragile Things is a dark bully high school romance full of secrets, unexpected twists, and turns.
