Samantha Silver is a paranormal and mystery author from British Columbia in Canada, where she lives with Terra, her old dog and her husband.
She made her debut when she published “The Purr-fect Crime” in 2016, which launched what has become a very successful career. Since then, Silver has published more than seventy five titles across the more than a dozen series.
As one of the most prolific authors in the space, she spends much of her time writing. When she is not writing her novels, she can usually be found traveling (she has been to the Middle East to Jordan and Egypt), eating ice cream, skiing and complaining about how running can be so hard.
Silver often gives news of her newest release, sneak previews, giveaways and more on her newsletter.
“Poison in Paddington” by Samantha Silver introduces Cassie Coburn, whose career as a surgeon ends before it begins, when she gets into a car accident.
Six months later, her body is fine but his mind is not. She also has a bank account brimming with millions as a settlement from the insurance company.
Cassie makes the decision of moving to a hostel in London to embark on her new life. Soon after moving in she finds her bicycle stolen as her bike lock was broken.
She reports the incident to the police which is where she meets Frenchwoman Violet De Puis. The latter is consulting on several cases for the police department and immediately provides insights on the bicycle theft impresing Cassie.
The following day Violet invites Cassie to go see her as she has managed to find her bike. She worked on the case since she wanted something to distract her from her more important cases.
When they meet she invites her to join her in the investigation of a sensational murder by strychnine of several people.
Samantha Silver’s novel “Bombing in Belgravia” opens to Cassie getting awakened late in the night by Violet her detective friend. She wants her to come in and help in the case of another dead man who has a weird liver condition
All she wants is to go back to sleep and go investigate the case in the morning, but her friend will not let her. Violet keeps calling until she finally relents, gets out of bed and goes to see her.
Since she had been working as a surgeon before she got injured and lost her career, she could be very helpful to Violet. What is interesting is that she has recently become something of a Watson to Sherlock Holmes.
Upon arriving at the scene of the crime, she learns that the home was blown up when gas exploded and killed two children. There is a body of a woman nearby and Violet wants Cassie to determine if she was killed after the explosion or in it.
There is a strong scent of garlic and arsenic in the air, which makes Cassie believe the woman had been killed before the gas explosion. The two young victims happen to be the son and daughter of the Taiwanese ambassador to Britain, which makes this a very critical case.
Things turn interesting when the internal security services and MI-5 visit Violet and order her to stay away from the case and she thinks there is something fishy.
“Whacked in Whitechapel” by Samantha Silver is a brilliant mystery case that has Violet and Caseie running around trying to track down some dangerous stolen virus.
At the opening of the novel, Cassie gets a text from her detective friend Violet asking her to head to the city hospital immediately. Upon arriving at the hospital out of breath and worried over her friend.
She learns that all Violet wanted to know was how long an anxious person would take to dash to the hospital. The fact is that a nurse had been found dead in a storage closet by a doctor and Violet is investigating the murder mystery.
Not long after they discovered that samples of Ebola virus that had been stored in the laboratory had gone missing. It does seem the victim had stolen them, and passed the vials to her lover.
They soon find themselves in a race to find the Ebola virus before the man who had taken them launches a potentially devastating bioterrorist attack. Violet turns out to be usual self as she gets into all manner of interesting situations.
Over the course of this work Casie seems to be becoming more of herself as we learn more about her character.
