She hails from Stirlingshire in Scotland, United Kingdom and is particularly famous for writing her much acclaimed novel series, On Dublin Street, and has been nominated for a couple of times for the Goodreads Choice Award in the categories of Best Romance and Best Author in the years 2012 and 2014. Samantha Young has written 5 novel series’ till now of which the ‘On Dublin Street’ is quite popular. The series consists of a total of 6 books published between the years 2012 and 2015. The first novel of the series was published with the same name as the title of the series. It was published as a Kindle edition in the year 2012. The author has done the setting of the novel in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. The story of the novel revolves around the life of the main characters Jocelyn Butler, Ellie Carmichael, Braden Carmichael and Adam Sutherland. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Jocelyn Butler is introduced as hiding from her past for many years, but faces the danger of all her secrets from her past getting discovered by everyone. She had moved to Scotland 4 years ago by leaving her tragic past behind in the United States. Since then, she has been living a new life by ignoring the demons of troubled past and burying her hurting griefs. She has made it a point not to involve herself in any sort of relationship in order to avoid further troubles in her life. She has been doing well till now by indulging herself into a solitary life. But as she moves into her new apartment on Dublin Street, her life begins to turn the other way round once again. On Dublin Street Jocelyn meets a man, who shakes her life to its core and makes it a living hell. The man named Braden Carmichael has the habit of obtaining whatever he wants, and this time he thinks of getting Jocelyn in his bed. However, he knows that she is quite skittish about indulging herself in relationships and makes arrangement for a gathering, hoping that she will get attracted towards him without any strings attached. After being a little reluctant initially, Jocelyn accepts his proposal, very much aware of the fact that he only wants to spend a night with her in bed. The second novel of the series was published in the year 2013 by the NAL publishing house. The novel was titled ‘Down London Road’ and was set in Edinburgh, Scotland just like the first novel of the series. This novel features other characters such as Cameron MacCabe, Nate Sawyer, Johanna Walker, Olivia Holloway and Cole Walker along with the main characters that featured in the first novel of the series. In the opening plot of the novel, Johanna is introduced as a lady who always likes to take the charge. However, she is about to meet someone who will force her to lose control. Johanna has always been involved in taking care of her family, especially her younger brother named Cole. She has been taking all the decisions about the life of Johanna for a long time as she does not have a father to make the necessary decisions and considers her mother useless in doing anything. Johanna has developed a habit of dating men who are rich and can provide much for her brother and herself, and it does not matter to her whether they develop the feeling of love in her heart as long as they keep providing them the means of living. However, she is forced to rethink about her set rules as she feels the undeniable attraction to Cameron MacCabe, who works as a bartender and possesses a sexy physique. Every time Johanna looks at him she feels attracted towards him. She begins to think about her temptation rather than the rules. Even Cameron seems to be interested in knowing her, but finds it difficult to get past the solid walls that she has built around herself. Soon, he moves into an apartment below Johanna’s and as a result the attraction between the two seems to grow even more. Cameron MacCabe seems to be more interested in knowing about her past so that he can change her way of thinking, and live a life full of passion along with her.
