Sara Alexi
Sara Alexi was born in Oxford, England. She’s traveled widely and splits her time between England and a small rural village in the Peloponnese, in Greece, where she’s renovated a ruined stone farmhouse, as she observes the Greek way of life and absorbs the culture, in order to enrich her vision for both painting and writing.

Sara, as a qualified psychotherapist, ran her own practice for years. Her artistic nature was, at this time, confined to painting and she exhibited widely. Her moving to Greece was the catalyst that got her to start writing.

“The House Keeper” is the first novel in the “Greek Island” series and was released in 2017. Taking us back in time to the idyllic Greek island of Orino, where the ill-fated love and secrets of a young woman are relived in a bid to save another from the same exact mistakes.

Poppy, as a young woman, traveled to Orino Island as housekeeper for some wealthy family. A romance blossomed between Pantelis (the owner’s son) and Poppy, however a tragic turn of events led him to abandoning her cruelly. Without any option but to stay on at the empty house as the housekeeper, she was thrown into a predicament when Pantelis returned eventually with a pregnant new wife who, after she gave birth, didn’t have any interest in the upbringing of her own kids.

Left in her care, could Poppy bring herself to raise Pantelis’ kids by some other woman? And what became of the feelings that Pantelis used to have for Poppy?

Now close to the end of her life, and recovering from an accident which has left her bed-ridden, news about Pantelis means Poppy has to come to grips with the course that her life’s taken, and in turn she has to try and stop her good friend Juliet from making the same mistakes as her. Unable to turn the clocks back, is there going to be time to save somebody else’s future?

“Inheritance” is the first novel in the “Village Idiots” series and was released in 2017. Two friends find themselves sinking deeper into trouble with every bad choice that they make.

Spiros is a simple man that easily gets led astray, however who’s rarely wandered further than the village and its surrounds. Older and slightly more wayward and most certainly not at all wiser, Takis looks out for Spiros, as he takes advantage of his younger friend’s naivety.

This duo, that generally scrapes by doing odd jobs for people, learn that they are heirs to some estate, they mistakenly believe that their ship’s come in.

While they learn that their inheritance is not all like it seems, Takis starts plotting their way out, dragging poor Spiros along with him. While one escapade spirals in to another, Takis easily gets lured by the dollar signs as Spiros finds that his eyes are getting opened to a wider world.

Amid all of the scheming and the ouzo, this comical and charming story is going to keep you eagerly awaiting the next installment.

“The Piano Raft” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2017. An unforgettable and heart warming story about a piano, love, and a hand built raft which will keep you laughing, enthralled, and sitting on the edge of your seat while you precariously sail upon the rivers and canals from Yorkshire on to London.

Neil is a disillusioned art student, wakes up to find himself drifting down a canal on a raft, being accompanied by a tiny fluffy dog, to the sound of his girlfriend’s piano being played by some stranger. Through the fog of his hangover, he attempts to piece together the events of the previous night before which brought him to such an unexpected and curious situation, and to work out what the hell to do next.

The current’s carrying him swiftly toward the capital, where the piano’s owner (Kim), has just recently began a new life.

While Neil’s journey continues, and as he tries to conjure up the courage to win Kim back, his tale captures the imaginations and hearts of the country while locals in the towns that he passes and national media alike follow this unlikely hero along on his just as unlikely adventure.

How are these extraordinary circumstances going to change and challenge a man whose life has been stuck in first gear, and who now needs to figure out just how far he’ll go for the woman that he loves? The current’s swift, and there is no turning back?

“The Second Daughter” is the second stand alone novel and was released in 2017. Set among the crooked streets and wild moors of a Yorkshire Village, following a woman that untangles herself finally from the clutches of her painful past and a self-centered mom.

Over a decade after she left home, Dawn finds she’s stuck in a dead-end job, in a rundown flat, as her sister has it all: the kids, husband, and a prestigious job in sunny Australia. Their mother’s favortism is palpable, and even while she has a horrible fall leaving Dawn to pick up the pieces, nothing that Dawn does is able to live up to her absent, yet perfect, sister.

However Dawn continues to persist with caring for her fragile and aging mother, until it one day it starts to feel like the one thing that stands between Dawn and her own happiness is her mom’s continued and pitiful existence.

“A Very English Christmas” is the third stand alone novel and was released in 2017. Christmas is coming and all the villagers are headed off to Orino to celebrate the holiday season in incredibly British fashion.

However there are some surprises in store for Juliet. Terrance (her wayward son) has come over for the holidays, appears dead set on getting into mischief with all of the wrong local girls and Juliet herself is preoccupied with Miltos, whose romantic attentions continue to blow hot and cold.

One horse ride into the hills seems to be a good way to clear their heads however the road is pretty rocky and the weather is changeable, and it would appear as though a storm is coming.
