Sara Richardson is a reputed American author of romance, contemporary, and fiction novels. She hails from Denver and is particularly popular for writing two successful series, the Heart of the Rockies series and the Rocky Mountain Riders series. The former is her debut series and all its books have been released under the banner of Grand Central Forever. Richardson’s debut book, No Better Man, had received a RITA nomination in the category of the Best First Book. Author Richardson considers herself a passionate reader and writer of romance stories. Her stories are generally intended to inspire people for putting their belief in love. Richardson also loves to connect with her readers through various platforms. She likes to answer their queries and give updates about the latest happenings in her life and career. Also, Richardson loves to take suggestions from her fans and considers them very seriously.

Prior to becoming an author, Richardson was involved in numerous other jobs. She has worked as a magazine editor, communications manager, whitewater rafting guide, copywriter, etc. However, she felt disconnected with all these jobs and eventually shifted her focus towards her interest in writing love stories. Author Richardson completed her graduation with a master’s degree in the field of journalism. It was only after stepping out on the field as a journalist that Richardson realized she is meant for this kind of a job. So, she started scratching her thoughts to write her first novel. As Richardson had been fascinated by true love all her life, she eventually found her true interest in the romance genre and continued writing stories about people falling in love with each other and embracing their love against all odds.

Author Richardson was brought up in the adventurous environment of the Colorado mountains. She has undertaken and completed numerous adventures while growing up, including climbing to the top of a high peak during the night, completing certification in wilderness first-aid, swimming through her Class IV rapids, and spending 7 days in the cold wilderness of Colorado with a 30-pound backpack on her shoulders. The first story of romance that Richardson got acquainted with was when she came to know that her grandparents had run away to elope in the middle of a cold night. This fascinated her a lot and thereby set her on the path of chasing romance stories for the rest of her life. Richardson was highly inspired by her grandparents’ decision of following what their hearts desired and finding a love that many people just dream about.

Richardson also saw how her grandfather stood by her grandmother years later when she was going through health problems. She sensed that the special bond of love between them was still intact. Moving ahead with such an inspiring story, Richardson came across many other amazing stories that always inspired her and kept her belief in love intact. When she was a young girl, she used to keep a notebook that she called The Book of Love. She used to take notes of all the stories, poems, and vignettes that inspired her to believe that love has the capability of changing things and it can make the disappointments and heartaches of life bearable. Richardson has gone on to see how true love changed people, circumstances, lives, and hearts. She also likes to explore such stories in her novels. Richardson uses her experience in being a mountain guide to incorporate romance with adventure. Apart from being a thoughtful writer and a loving wife, Richardson is also a responsible mother, a believer, a dreamer, an explorer, and a storyteller. She enjoys taking up all these responsibilities and fulfilling them with great determination.

The Heart of the Rockies book series written by Sara Richardson is comprised of a total of 3 novels and 2 novellas released between 2015 and 2016. Each of the books of this series is set in Aspen, Colorado and features a different set of main characters. Some of the essential characters created by Richardson for this series include Avery King, Bryce Walker, Ben Noble, Paige Harper, Julia Noble, Isaac Nash, Ruby James, Sawyer Hawkins, Brooklyn, etc. The debut book of the series is known as ‘No Better Man’. It was released in 2015 by Forever publication. This novel introduces Avery King as a successful businesswoman. She likes to be on top and achieve more and more success in her business. She goes through a public breakup and moves to Aspen.

Avery intends to acquire a mountain ranch in Aspen, however, she didn’t expect to face a tough fight from the irresistible and rugged rancher, Bryce Walker, who owned the ranch. Bryce is stunned to see the beautiful Avery’s determination is acquiring his land. When Avery shows interest in him and wants to develop a relationship with him, he simply turns down her offer. Also, Bryce appears to be in no mood to sell his family ranch. As time passes by, Bryce begins to enjoy the company of Avery. She makes him forget his painful past and makes him think that it is better to cherish the present than resent the past.

The second book is entitled ‘Something Like Love’. It was also published by Forever in 2015. Initially, Ben Noble is introduced as a man looking to do damage control. He belongs to a powerful political family, but has never shown interest in following the path of his family members. Ben is interested in ranching. He decides to relocate to Aspen with the intention of restoring his reputation and enjoying the fresh air there. While on the trip to Aspen, Ben Noble comes across a gorgeous mountain guide named Paige Harper and feels that he has gotten a second chance at love. However, Paige is no more the shy girl that she used to be. She remembers Ben from his previous visit to Aspen and seems to have developed feelings for him. But, when he moved back to his hometown without informing her, she was left heartbroken. Therefore, Paige intends to not let her guard down this time. But, no matter how hard she tries, she is not able to resist the temptation of being in the arms of the charming man. Paige realizes that holding herself back is much more difficult than she thought and decides to give in to the desires of her heart.
