About Sarah Ferguson
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is an esteemed member of the British royal family. Raised in Dummer, Hampshire, she completed her studies at Queen’s Secretarial College before going on to work in multiple public relations companies located in London. Notably, Sarah was previously married to Prince Andrew, Duke of York, with whom she had two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
The Duchess has devoted a substantial portion of her life to philanthropy, acting as a patron and spokesperson for countless charities. Early and Personal Life
Sarah Margaret Ferguson, born in London on October 15, 1959, was Major Ronald Ferguson and Susan Barrantes’ second daughter – both of her parents being of British ‘country gentry’ with aristocratic ancestry. After her parents divorced, her mother moved to Argentina, while Sarah stayed with her father at Dummer Down Farm. After attending Daneshill School and Hurst Lodge School, she went on to complete a course at Queen’s Secretarial College, working in an art gallery, two PR firms, and the publishing industry. Prior to marriage, Sarah had relationships with a stockbroker and a motor racing manager.
These experiences inspired her to become an author, writing children’s stories, adult fiction, biographies, and her memoirs. Her writing has been praised for its insight, humor, and heart, and she continues to inspire readers around the world with her work.

Her Heart for a Compass
Sarah Ferguson’s historical romance ‘Her Heart for a Compass’ was published on August 3, 2021 by William Morrow. It is the first book of the Buccleuch Family series, although each book can be read independently. In 2010, Sarah Ferguson published her second memoir, ‘Finding Sarah: A Duchess’s Journey to Find Herself.’ This followed on the heels of 1996’s ‘My Story,’ and was published on December 28. In this autobiography, she recounts her struggles and successes, and shares her journey of self-discovery. By writing this book, she hopes to inspire others to find their true purpose in life.
After struggling through a difficult period of her life, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was determined to put her life back together. She set off on a journey to find herself and heal her broken places. In her memoir, Finding Sarah, she openly details her journey, sharing intimate diary excerpts and emails from friends and family.
With the help of her own ‘real-life angels’ such as Suze Orman, she was able to identify the underlying causes of her problems and take back control of her life. Budgie at Bendick’s Point
‘Budgie at Bendick’s Point’ was released on September 1, 1989 by Simon & Schuster. It is the third book in the ‘Budgie the Little Helicopter’ series of self-contained illustrated stories. The book features the titular Budgie as the main character, and is an engaging and entertaining read for children of all ages.
Budgie the helicopter was feeling left out as the other helicopters prepared for the upcoming air show. His job was to deliver packages, so he was in for a surprise when he received the call to go and rescue two boys who were stuck in a rocky cove due to the gale. Budgie was the only one around and he managed to save the day.
