Behind Her Eyes is one of the best performing books by Sarah Pinborough. This is undoubtedly one crazy book that will get you hooked from the very first page. In Behind Her Eyes the author introduces the reader to Louise, a single mother of a young boy. Louise works as a part-time secretary in a psychiatric office. Most of her evenings, Sarah Pinborough takes care of her young son and also drink a little bit of wine. From time to time, Louise suffers from night terrors, some of which she cannot explain. Louise would love to meet someone, though she is not willing to make an effort. However, it does not take long before she meets someone. He is not only handsome but also exceedingly smart, funny and also appears to be exceedingly interested in Louise. The two spend time at a bar and from the word go, there is chemistry between these two characters.

After the two share a passionate kiss, the man flees from the scene, however, Louise is satisfied that finally, someone has finally shown interest in her. When the day to report to work finally came, Louise discovers that the man she shared a kiss with, was her new boss. Furthermore, the man is married to an exceedingly beautiful and young woman. Louise tries to desperately soldier move on despite the disappointment and the man’s occasionally flirty nature, nonetheless, she is still more than determined not to one of those ladies. One day when she was walking near her office, she ran into Adelle, an exceedingly beautiful and lonely woman, who from the look of things was in need of a friend. Upon further investigation, Louise discovers that Adelle is David’s wife. Adele begins to encourage Louise to improve herself; that is quit the wine drinking, join a gym and also quit smoking.

When David’s interest towards Louise begins to rise, she was not sure of what to do. It is very clear she has feelings for David; however, she respects her friendship with Adele. She deeply knows the secret that she is holding back are wrong; however, she cannot manage to break up from each of them. Furthermore, each of this characters needs her, in different ways. From this point, what happens next is a pure work of genius. The author combines all the elements of a typical love triangle and the story of the marriage that no one seems to understand with some weird suspenseful plot twisting.

Mayhem is also another excellent book from the author. This book is set in the late 1800’s, and London is currently being terrorized by a criminal mastermind known as Jack the Ripper. The new wave of murders is not only terrifying but also gruesome. All the victims in these criminal activities are women. Their bodies are not only dismembered but also their heads are not found anywhere close to the crime scene. In this book, the author introduces one Dr. James Bond, a police surgeon who is not able to stop himself from finding out who the real killer is. He also succeeds in uncovering much more than anyone could ever fathom. The killings are not only monstrous, but they are also nightmarish. Jack the Ripper has always been a subject of interest for many mystery lovers.

The story has been told from the view of Dr. Thomas Bond. However, from time to time, the author gives the reader an occasional glimpse through some of the remaining characters. Each of these characters was not only alluring, but they were also an integral part of understanding the story. Dr. Thomas Bond is a perfectly imperfect character who mainly reli9ed on the use of opium so as to deal with the bouts of insomnia that he frequently experienced. Dr. Thomas Bond is such a flawed character who not only made the story satisfying but also lifelike. With that being said, this is an exceedingly solid story, while the writing itself is incredibly satisfying. Mayhem is a page turner with very minimal filler and sections that felt inconsequential. If you are looking for a well-written thriller that will keep you engaged, then you should try out this novel.

The Death House is also another excellent read by Sarah Pinborough. In the Death House, the author introduces the reader to Toby. Toby’s life has always been perfect; however, it did not take long before things began to change when a blood test unraveled everything. Toby is taken from his house and transferred to Death House; a house that is out of time existence, a place where people who live there are studied by a team of nurses. They are always on the lookout for any sign of diseases and also any signs of their wards changing. Once a person is taken to the sanatorium, there is no coming back. Living in the past and withdrawn from his housemates, Toby spends a majority of his days fighting his fears. However, it did not take long before a new housemate arrived and changed everything.

All in all, the author’s writing style is not only well developed but also believable in the eyes of the reader. From time to time, the author leaves the reader curious with lots of unanswered questions about this very world such as what is the main reason why the children are taken to the Death House.
