The Sarah Roberts series is a series of thriller novels written by one of the renowned novelists from Canada named Jonas Saul. There is a total of 16 books in this series, which were released between the years 2010 and 2015. All the novels of this thriller series have the lead character in the role of Sarah Roberts, who is depicted by author Jonas Saul as an eighteen year old girl. Sarah is described as suffering from frequent blackouts in her life for some time. And when the blackouts occur, Sarah Roberts goes into deep sleep all of a sudden, no matter at what place she is or what she is doing. When she finally wakes up after some time, she finds several notes written in her handwriting lying beside her. The notes seem to have the detailed description of some future unhealthy events. Sarah knows that as she is one who has come across the details of the events, she is only one who can stop them from happening. Apart from this, Sarah Roberts also suffers from a disorder called trichotillomania. This is one type of impulse disorder in which the patient feels the compulsion to pull out the hairs of people. Author Jonas Saul has said that he got the idea of writing the Sarah Roberts series in the year 2010. Subsequently, he began with the first story and published the debut novel in the same year. Currently, he is trying to develop a few more plots and introduce some more interesting characters, which he is going to include in the next books of the series.

According to author Saul, the next few books in the series are expected to come out very soon in the days to come. The beginning of the series shows the introduction of Sarah Roberts as an 18 year old girl. She experiences her first blackout and after gaining consciousness, she finds that she has written down the descriptions of some dark visions in her handwriting during her sleep. The visions seem so dark to her that she begins to work toward preventing them from happening. As the next events in her life follow, Sarah Roberts realizes that she can try and stop the events on her own. Other than the automatic writing thing, Sarah also experiences the symptoms of trichotillomania, that is the disorder of hair pulling. In the first automatic description, Sarah Roberts comes to know about a kidnapping that is about to happen. She also finds the things that she should in order to prevent the kidnapping, written in the notes. Sarah finds the notes to be very specific and realizes that she has already done the things in the past. Therefore, she feels confident to pull off the thing once again. However, things begin to take a bad turn when she kidnappers spot her and some people get killed.

A few witnesses see Sarah Roberts at the crime scene. As the police come to arrest her, they come across the notebook in which she had filled with the details of all the events that she has dealt with in the past. The notebook all the details about the prophecies of the numerous crimes and accidents in which Sarah Roberts was involved. As the police begin to think that all the events were created her alone, she finds herself in a situation to fight for herself. She knows that she is innocent, but does not know how to prove it to the police and everyone else. On the other hand, the kidnappers are curious as to how she came to know about their operation. During this whole time, the parents of Sarah Roberts think that she is staying at the house of her friend and do not seem to have any idea about the recent events. As the series progresses further, readers get acquainted with a few other interesting events from the life of Sarah Roberts. All the events seem even more intriguing and interesting to read because of the excellent writing style of author Saul.
